I've been programming since the early 1980s, starting on small "home computers", progressing through minicomputers, Windows, and finally the web. I started web programming in 1993, in a very different time for the web. I've worked as an independent consultant since 1994 and focused entirely on web development using Ruby on Rails in 2006. My main areas of expertise: 1. Telecom billing 2. Industrial warehousing and sales 3. Music publishing 4. Parking and shuttle operations I have extensive experience in both front end development as well as back end. On the front end, I've developed a shuttle application which includes bar code scanning and real-time location tracking. On the back end, I've developed a complicated copyright registration and royalty system. Most of my clients are in the $5M-$50M range, but I've had both larger and smaller clients. I create applications, not just "web sites". Normal projects also include consulting on business processes and automating everything that can be automated so your staff can focus on tasks that require human intervention. I'm now using AI to expand the field of automation even further. I enjoy what I do and guarantee it'll be a positive experience. I only take on projects that have a clear objective, and my completion rate is 100%. My hourly rate reflects years of experience, but I tend to be modestly priced for projects due to efficiency. I host most of the projects that I complete, which includes uptime monitoring and error monitoring. Personally - I've been married for 25 years and have two sons. One is an electrical engineer and the other is in medical school. I've written comedy for radio professionally and am an avid hiker. I've also been known to do a bit of stand up comedy as well. I was awarded top math student and top science student at high school graduation, and my github reflects some of the more math-related endeavors in which I partake. I am a creative person and see software development and business development as a primarily creative activity. Let's create something!Amazon S3
