Hello, thanks for your interest. I'd love to work on your project. If there is more than one dev on the team, will you please implement peer/code review and a version control system - I prefer Git, GitHub, and GitLab. I'm currently working on an app that uses Angular. Even if you don't hire me please implement peer review. That way when you hire me in the future your team is already set up with good habits. Now that I'm done with the peer review PSA (Public Service Announcement.) Allow me to brag about myself. I have taught myself how to program in PHP, Python and Javascript. I entered my first program when I was in 3rd grade on a Vic 20. I've been coding professionally since 2006 - 15 years at this time. In the past I've ran my own .com from home with a Linux server on site. This has given me much insight into how servers are maintained. I have set up and maintained the following servers Postfix(email), Apache(http), Nginx(http), Open-ssh(ssh) and used Supervisord to deploy Python web apps. I'm an avid listener of several podcasts, a few of my favorites are Security Now and Coder Radio. To KISS (Keep it Simple Silly) here's an itemized list of my skills & interests. # Would like to learn: - Python --- Alembic --- Django - Rust - React - Flutter # Strengths (Intermediate~Expert) ## Tools I'll grab first: - MarkDown - Ubuntu - languages/frameworks/libraries --- HTML/browser ----- css ------- BootStrap ----- Javascript ------- JQuery ------- Angular --- Python ----- Cherrypy ----- Flask ----- Mako Templates ----- Jinja2 --- PHP --- Bash - Databases --- MySQL --- PostgreSQL - Git --- Github --- Gitlab # Competent (Novice~Intermediate) ## Tools I'll grab first - languages --- Bash --- Python --- PHP - browser - JS frameworks, css libraries and icon libraries. -- Javascript -- Angular -- BootStrap -- FontAwesome -- Progressive Web App - pwa - Linux -- Ubuntu, CentOS or RedHat. - Postfix - email server - http servers --- Nginx - engine x --- Apache - Angular - Apache Cordova - Docker - Pyro4 ## Can work with, but not the first choice. I can work with these technologies if needed. - HTML/Browser --- Javascript libraries ----- Underscore.js ----- Backbone.js - Databases --- MongoDb - OpenPyXL # Novice/comfortable - Python --- LibreOffice ----- PYUNO bridge ------- Generate .doc/.docx/.odt files ------- Document statistics --------- Things like word count, character count. ----- Collabora Office - edit .doc/.docx files in a web page. - PHP --- Smarty - RabbitMQ - CentOS - WireGuard - Tail Scale - Let Encrypt & Certbot - PDFMiner # Novice/uncomfortable - SSL/TLS --- Apache --- Nginx - Squid # Weakness Here's a list of things it'd be in your best interest to find someone else to work on. I can do **very** basic things. - Perl - Java - Windows Server Due to the nature of the NDA (Non-disclosure agreement), I can't list what sites/companies I've worked for but you may be able to get a good idea from my work history here on upwork. I've created several backend APIs. Some have been RESTFUL. In my spare time, I'm working on a web & android app that picks my favorite music based on various criteria like genre, how often I've clicked next. It also does podcasts syncs the position of files via web sockets I can perform basic controls like previous, next, etc on my computer and have it control the phone or vise versa with a WebRTC data-channel using peer.js. The backend is written in Python, uses Cherrypy for the server and MySQL for the database. For the frontend, I'm using Angular, BootStrap, and Cordova on the phone. I've done a considerable amount of work on PDFs using Python, PDFMiner, and GhostScript. However that was several years ago and my knowledge on the subject has faded. I've done a ton of server administration, built continuous Integration & deployment mechanisms. I also helped build booking software. It included reports, calendar, artist/user profiles, timezones, traveling, accommodations, fees, commissions, venues, repertoire and currency conversion. It was a very challenging and rewarding project. The team was very talented. We used Python, Flask, Mako, MongoDB, JQuery, Backbone.js, Underscore.js, and Java - I didn't do any of the Java work. On a couple of different projects I've parsed PDFs and put the info into a db, then built a web ui for filtering. I made a picture labeling program for HUD home inspecto, and they would upload images, associate them with a house and classify/label the pic. The info would auto-populate/complete with a few keystroks/clicks. Images could then be put in a .doc. It used MySQL, JQuery and LibreOffice. I hosted/managed this site for 4~5 years. It parsed PDF files, cut out specific pages, and grouped them for specific agents. For another project we used MongoDB, SOLR, MySQL, and CodeIgniter. It migrated from MongoDB to MySQL.
