Greetings! I am Ashley, a passionate GIS Analyst who specializes in human geography, demographic analysis, data visualization, environmental mapping, high quality cartography, and story building with maps. I am well-equipped with expertise in extracting demographic and scientific data from reliable open data resources, and highly comfortable with the full suite of desktop and web based ESRI products. I also have a strong proficiency with geoprocessing tools, database management, road networking, topology, georeferencing, ModelBuilder, and GIS-adjacent coding languages including Python, SQL, and ESRI Arcade. I am a strong cartographer as well, with noted expertise with enhancing complex map designs using Adobe Creative Cloud products. In both my work and in my personal life, I am passionate about addressing climate change as well as civil & human rights. Beyond my technical qualifications, the most potent skill in my arsenal is the ability to think spatially, and offer services and solutions you may not have considered. I am often taken aback by just how expansive the fields of GIS & Demographics are -- and my favorite part of the job is answering the questions you didn't know you had.Arts & Culture

I uncover materials in digital and physical archives to help storytellers bring fact and fiction to life. With over 15 years of experience working with museum, commercial, archival, public domain, and private collections worldwide, I’ve conducted research for and on visual media from various historical periods and diverse cultural contexts across the globe. Whether you’re producing a script, video, film, exhibition, or online content, I help you tell your story. Whether a 19th-century photograph, 1970s footage, or contemporary digital artwork, wherever an image may be, if it exists, I strive to find it. When researching, I not only consider aesthetics, relevance, and target audiences but also format and quality requirements; and I critically examine and fact-check historical media. I can provide a selection of stills and/or screeners to a budget or get more involved and assist with rights clearance. With experience in provenance research and an understanding of underlying rights, I facilitate the often complicated process of identifying rights holders and obtaining usage permissions in cooperation with a project’s legal counsel. Throughout the process, I track and document rights and permissions, and obtain the correct caption and credit information. I also research visual references to enrich world-building, from art and design to architecture, clothing, and other cultural elements that help create a sense of time and place. In addition to visual research, I can delve into primary and secondary source materials, and connect with subject matter experts, to uncover details that support the development of compelling stories.Arts & Culture

My name is Matthew Bohling and I was born and raised in North Carolina and earned my BFA degree from East Carolina University in December, 2021. In the midst of my college experience, I began to develop an extremely different personal voice; I found myself in a spot where I felt I had so much to express, but my artwork seemed so rigid and closed off - boringly so. What was once uniform and semi-realistic would soon become crooked and stylized. I wanted to tell stories in the way that characters posed and in the way the light hit their faces. I wanted my environments to be lived-in and full of depth. The work I produce is most often meant to portray drama. I do this through lighting, proportions, and subject matter. The subject matter I focus on usually relates to fantasy or horror. I often use people, mythical creatures, and cryptids to create my pieces. I also reference books for my book illustrations. The medium I prefer to work with is digital.Arts & Culture
