I'm an experienced developer who's created hours of award-winning tech-base live shows as part of Foxdog Studios. Nothing sharpens your skills like have 100s of people use your software while you stand in front of them on stage :). I've created, use, and live off a distributed multi-user web-based game engine and editor with live video/audio streaming, AR, body tracking, realtime VFX, scripting, etc. Written in TypeScript, Python and C++.Bluetooth

I am an Electronic/Electrical Engineer specialising in communications. Over my working life I have taken up a variety of job types from chef to sales assistant, to my career focused work in broadcasting and RF engineering. Although my earlier jobs are not technically relevant to my career, I have found, particularly my time as a chef (age 19), that they have contributed greatly to my success in the workplace. In my career I have been a proud engineer, focusing on furthering my knowledge of communications and using my degree based knowledge nearly every day. The greater part of my career has been working in the RF test environment which has taught me how to work alone, run my own projects but also fit into a wider team including training others to do complex work. I worked myself into a key position within UL Solutions wireless group which saw me work at the very cutting edge of RF testing in a laboratory environment, furthering the company’s capability to work with brand new and in some cases future wireless technologies. In 2023 after great personal deliberation I decided to take a sabbatical; the greatest reason for this was that I started working during school summers at age 14, had various work experience opportunities including working for a Sky News team, saw out my education and then went nearly straight into my full time career. I was always wary that I never had a ‘gap year’ like most students and that my personal development was lacking. The best option was a travelling sabbatical so I resigned my position at UL solutions with the knowledge that I had become a valuable member, they did not want me to leave, and I may be able to reprise my role there one day. During my sabbatical I have lived in Holland for a short time working with my brother in construction, travelled to the Dominican Republic and also South East Asia on two separate occasions. Moving forward I have found that travelling brings the best out of me and I have been looking for a way to further my career in engineering and travel at the same time. This is where I have decided remote work could provide me with the means to live like this while I could provide the company with my technical knowledge and work ethic; hoping to further my career in these respects. I’d say the best things I have taken from my sabbatical have been learning about mindfulness through meditation and realising that I am very good at meeting people and making new friends. I have come out the other side a more rounded person set on the lifestyle I want and ready to further my career.Bluetooth
