I create print-ready custom-designed novels, self-help books, nonfiction titles, memoirs, and other long-format books complete with properly formatted headers and footers, drop caps, automatic tables of contents, foot- and endnotes, and wraparound covers. My ebook files include reflowable text, interactive tables of contents, and hyperlinked endnotes. I guarantee the successful uploading of all of my files onto your POD platform of choice and will be there with you until your book is perfect and published! I only use the gold standard—Adobe InDesign—for all book interior layouts and cover designs. (I do not design books in MS Word, Kindle Create, Atticus, or Vellum, etc.) You’ll need a completed, edited, and proofread manuscript before I start designing, but if your project is still in rough shape (or if you're not sure exactly *what* you need), don't worry—I can evaluate it for you, and can provide editorial services to perfect that manuscript before I start laying out a single page. I am a meticulous editorial designer who has been on both sides of the traditional publishing world—I am the author and photographer of two original needlework project books published by Random House, and I was the in-house production editor for a book publisher in the Pacific Northwest for several years. Currently, I am in the process of writing, photographing, and designing my own cookbook, which I am self-publishing in 2025. I also have an MFA in Creative Writing/Fiction, and I have to confess that novels (and cozy mysteries!) are my first and truest love!
