I use creative storytelling to bring projects to life. I've been writing, editing, and proofing scripts, novels, articles, corporate websites, proposals, and other marketing materials for over three decades. (Has it been THAT long?!) I know for some people approaching a writing project may seem intimidating or out-of-reach. I promise, IT'S NOT. I'm great at collaborating with folks that have little to no experience putting together their dream project (and have plenty of expertise working closely with people that are old hands at this kind of thing.) Dialog is one of my specialties, and I excel at writing and editing for clarity while maintaining a project's specific voice. I also look at projects from more than one angle; that's because I've worn many hats over time, including Director of Marketing, Book Editor, Creative Director, Script Doctor, Ghostwriter, Copywriter, Screenwriter, and Producer among them. That's a LOT of titles, but what that really means is that I understand more than just narratives, characters, plots, and dialogue; I understand target audiences and critical reaction. All of these things TOGETHER give any project (whether it's fiction or fact or that murky area in between we call "marketing") the BEST chance it has to be successful. If you check my reviews here on Upwork, you'll see that client satisfaction is a big thing for me. I know the kind of value and pride people have with their projects, and want to make sure you're as pleased with the end result as I would be if it were my own. I prefer to base project cost on a flat fee rather than hourly rate; that way you know exactly how much your project will cost and we can focus on making it excellent without worrying about the clock.Book WritingEditing & ProofreadingGhostwritingProofreadingScriptingCopy EditingScreenwritingWritingCopywritingScriptwritingFiction WritingHumorComicsCreative Writing - $38 hourly

I love helping anyone who needs a story or children's book written. I've ghostwritten two children's books and dozens of short stories. I also love helping with Amazon Advertising for books. I am a children's author with 21 published books and nearly 200,000 copies sold. My pen name is David Blaze. I write mostly for middle graders but have also written chapter books for kids 6-10 and beginner books for preschoolers and kindergarteners. My most popular books are My Fox Ate My Homework, Select Your Superpower, and Disney's Frozen 2: The Deluxe Junior Novelization. I handle my own book marketing through Amazon and other social platforms, as well as digital billboards. I've also worked part time for a small publisher as their lead Amazon KDP and Seller Central book marketer. With the exception of Disney's Frozen 2, I have self-published all of my books and sold well over 100,000 of those at this point (before Disney ever contacted me). I've worked with many illustrators and editors. I love book marketing, but make no mistake - writing for kids is what I'm the best at and what I love more than anything else in the world (other than my wife and son). I would love to help you with any children's writing project.Book WritingAmazon PPCCampaign ManagementAmazon Advertising ConsoleAmazon MarketingBook MarketingAmazon Book Category ResearchKindle Direct PublishingCreative WritingFiction WritingEbook WritingChildren's LiteratureChildren's Writing - $18 hourly
