Throughout my journey, I have had many great opportunities to expand my knowledge both in my preferred field as well as in the general ins and outs of the world. In high school I completed dual enrollment courses and managed to receive two associate degrees before receiving my high school diploma and have just recently received my bachelor’s degree in television and film with a minor in psychology from Howard University. Due to my efforts in high school, I managed to complete both curriculums sooner than expected. Prior to college, I had my heart set on being an actor, but if there is one thing that my curriculum has shown me, it’s that there are just as many opportunities behind the camera as there are in front, if not more. Within my 3 ½ years in the television and film curriculum I have learned how to write, direct, produce, edit, and film, but it was cinematography where I found my main passion. Being able to get the shot that not only looks good but is able to convey a message to the audience. Now that my undergraduate experience has ended, I am looking to seek opportunities that will allow me to expand my knowledge even more. I plan on being as versatile as possible in the industry because filmmaking takes a lot of people, and my goal is to be one of them. I want to be able to learn from those around me as well as teach those after me.Cinematography
