With over fifteen years of experience as an editor and writer, I edit academic dissertations, theses, and articles; technical content and business documents; and fiction and nonfiction manuscripts. I am experienced in the challenges of editing remotely and maintain consistent communication with the client to ensure that the work is completed promptly, efficiently, and in their preferred style. I am currently a technical editor for an education company, where I edit technical content, help develop style guides, and perform QA to ensure all materials adhere to the company's standards. My academic clients include professors from Harvard, Boston College, and the London School of Economics, and I have edited work in a variety of fields in the humanities, social sciences, and hard sciences. I am an expert in APA, Chicago, and MLA styles. Due to my professional ethics, I do not write academic assignments for others, though I am happy to edit your work and make suggestions and comments. For non-academic material, such as blogs or business documents, I am available to write or edit your content. I hold a Ph.D. and M.A. in English from Tufts University and a B.A. in English with Highest Honors from the University of California at Berkeley. I am Danielle Glynn, a scientist who studied how ocean ecosystems are changing with climate using the chemistry recorded in deep sea corals. During my bachelors in Earth System Science at UC Irvine I spent three years in a radiocarbon lab working with corals. For my senior project I examined the signal of nuclear bomb fallout integrated into a coral in the eastern tropical Pacific, noticeable through radiocarbon analysis. Then upon entering graduate school at UC Santa Cruz, I continued studying corals, only in this case the deep sea variety, which record within their growth layers the signal of nutrients and phytoplankton in the waters above. My PhD projects allowed me to send robots into the deep sea and involved a variety of drilling, weighing, and analytical techniques required to turn coral skeletons into amino acids in order to measure molecular and isotopic information. I have substantial teaching and mentoring experience during my graduate degree primarily in the fields of earth and marine science, chemistry, and biology.Citation Styles
