I can do class assignments based on business, economics, finance, politics and historical research, My work as a sample ,I did this on assignment bases; FERDINAND CARR’E AND HIS CONTRIBUTION TO THE HVAC/R INDUSTRY: INTRODUCTION Ferdinand Carr’e was French engineer, born in France on 11th march1824.He was known for inventing the first practical refrigeration machine that could produce ice. Engineering and thermodynamics held his best interest in his life and helped him to do innovative changes in refrigeration methods. In the 19th century, people relied on natural ice for refrigeration as artificial cooling system were limited and inefficient. Ferdinand Carr’e developed the absorption refrigeration system which contributed in improving HVAC/R, (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration) industry. It was effective cooling system different from the artificial cooling system and has had significant impact in various industries. CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE HVAC/R INDUSTRY Ferdinand contributions to the HVAC/R industry inclucled invention of an absorption refrigeration system in 1859 which used, water as an absorbent and ammonia as refrigerant. This invention depended on a heat source to operate for cooling process compared to traditional mechanical refrigeration system that used a compressor. The absorption refrigeration system was used in; medical facilities to preserve vaccine and medicines, in industries to cool machines, and it was used internationally in the Paraguay ship to carry frozen meat in intercontinental trip thus a food preservation method for perishable goods. His system was widely used in remote areas were electric was unavailable. Carr’e work laid a foundation in refrigeration technology, including the development of vapor compressor refrigeration. His inventions came up with the modern absorption chillers that are used in gas powered and solar powered refrigeration today. CONCLUSION Ferdinand Carr’e passed away in 1900 and his innovating ideas in transforming refrigeration system is still prominent and has a great impact in daily life. His existence had substantial effect in the modern refrigeration system I did an internship at Kenya Revenue Authority ,and my roles inclucled; 1.Integrated Customs Management systems (ICMS): Managed the systems by, checking the entries that had been lodged for verification, preparing F147 e-slips, and accounting for verified units at the CFS. 2.Reports: Prepared both the weekly and monthly reports both at the CFS, Kencont and at Mombasa bonded facilities, RHQ Mombasa. 3. Front desk operations: I was incharge of serving and answering walk in client’s queries,issuing of authority letters related to EPZ and bonds, as well facilitating specimen signature clients. 4. Email management: Responding to the emails that were sent to the office by our clients and notification of any inspections or compliance checks that are to be carried out by the office atthe clients operational premises. 5. Physical verification of motor vehicles units and containers :Verifying the motor vehicles that have been imported into the country and comparing them to the description given in the declaration 6. Training and Personnel Development: Facilitated and conducted training to the KESRA students that would come in for practical learning. Attended online training that the HR conducted on areas of career development as well mentorship at work place and dynamics. 7. Minutes taking: I was incharge of minutes writing during our monthly meetings that were carried out in the office in regards to our performance. My ability to manage complex tasks, attention to detail, and commitment to operational excellence was top notch during my work .I used my technical knowledge, particularly in reports handling, managing the ICMS and serving the clients well, greatly benefitedthe division I am confident that my skills, experience, and dedication make me a valuable asset to any individual and organization. I am well versed in matters of Econometrics, Finance and Accounting. My career objectives include to seek a relevant and challenging position in an enabling environment where my qualifications, work experience and abilities would be an asset in achieving corporate goals and to seek an opportunity to put in use my knowledge that I have acquired overtime to affect the society in a positive way.Clerical Skills
