Hey there! I'm a children's book illustrator with experience on a variety of topics, including baking, archaeology, and gardening. If I were to describe my art style, I would say it is warm and comforting. I typically draw in a semi-realistic style. In illustrating children’s books, my design process usually begins with a discussion on art style. For this we can look at works by other artists whom we can draw inspiration from. This process helps align our expectations. After this, we can come up with character design sketches. Once approved, I will create and send to my client the fully-colored interior pages. Sometimes I would do this in batches– I would ask for feedback before sending the next batch. We would discuss revisions and finalize accordingly. Finally, I will create the front and back covers.
