Hi there, My name is Dolly, and I love writing, trees, and funky bass lines. To go more into detail: I started writing over ten years ago and hope to never stop. After many years of personal writing, I expanded my scope and dove into social media branding, technical writing, and revitalized blogging content. This looked like writing ads for a local politician, grants for a conservatory in Kansas, and social media content for various organizations and influencers. I was lucky enough to be able to share my passion with others a few years back. My tutoring subjects include English, CW, ESL, and Poetry. I find that helping others make their dreams come true (most often in the form of publishing their book) elicits the same satisfaction in me that teaching does. Along those lines, I facilitate a Creative Writing group in Oklahoma for adults: an intentional safe space where we can learn, share, and workshop without fear of judgement. My work has been featured in Sunrise Wichita, Everything Midwest, Robust Kitchen, and Policybae, to name a few. As of 2022, I have written/ghostwritten three novels, two of which are published, while the third is currently in “literary agent-transit.” As an Issue Editor at SIAMB!, I manage one of our literary magazines, Scissortail Sings, and help spread the word about micropresses and community-based writing.
