I am a governance and communications professional with over twenty years of experience assisting organisations to deliver transformational change. After graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce from the esteemed University of Wollongong, I embarked on a professional career in consultancy. I began with the global all-rounder Accenture and moved to the smaller specialist firm Effective Governance. My empathetic nature, coupled with a deep understanding of the relevant issues, allowed me to connect with individuals on a profound level. Through my MBA studies, I was particularly drawn to addressing issues such as employee engagement, cultural change, and leadership communications. To gain greater experience implementing solutions to these issues, I joined the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads in 2004 as a Principal Advisor. Here, I delivered innovative programs that provided education and mentorship for the leadership team, covering the areas of governance, strategic management, performance management and compliance. As a freelance consultant, I am regularly called upon to provide governance, strategy and communications advice to clients across the globe, working closely with executives to enable corporate change. I specialise in governance, strategic management, performance management, issues analysis, change management, corporate communications (including grants, business cases and annual reports) and facilitation. Here is a testimonial from my most recent client. ROB TAYLOR HEAD OF COMMUNICATIONS, RSL LIFECARE NOVEMBER 2023 Belinda has been a contracted professional writer for my communications team for almost 18 months and in that time has proven to be an invaluable asset. She is a consummate professional that can write in multiple styles for a broad range of audiences, and is able to her to jump straight into projects and make a considerable impact from the get-go. Belinda is trustworthy and beyond reproach with a very solid work ethic. I have always had absolute trust in her abilities to excel in whatever job she is assigned, and her work is always the highest standard possible. She is able to quickly research for backgrounding and is extremely experienced in all forms of corporate communication. She has handled everything from CEO announcements and speeches, our Annual Report, federal government project bids, to stock standard internal communications. To be honest, I cannot recommend Belinda more highly and could ramble on for ages as to her incredible skill, experience and lovely nature. She is a delight to work with and I doubt you could ever find anyone better for your communications or writing projects.Corporate governance
