Data Analyst/SQL Programmer I worked for Geisinger Health System as a Data Analyst 2013-2024. Daily work entailed 70% of time writing script in SSMS with the other 30% developing analytics in either Excel, Crystal Reports or Tableau. I am comfortable with building very complex processes with SQL stored procedures being up to 5000+ lines and using parameters, pivots and loops. Likewise I have built complex visualizations in Excel, Crystal Reports and Tableau that dynamically show/hide, customized to user permissions and refresh on a scheduled occurrences. Visual Basic front end application (with SQL backend) In 2017, some of my new routine reports heavily relied on several SQL reference tables that were used for assigning nurses to patients being referred after discharge from the hospital with multiple layers of logic for assigning. With frequent changes in coverage and also turnover, clinical staff management was sending 3 or more requests each week for updates to these reference tables. Each request often entailed several emails back and forth to verify the exact desired change as the requests were not written in a consistent manner. I worked after business hours to develop a VB multi-form front end that would log change request records into hidden tab in the excel. Then a separate scheduled instance would pull the records from the hidden tab and load them into a sql table. SQL stored procedures were then executed to process the records and apply the changes as well as log the historical requests and changes made. Finally a pdf was emailed to the clinical staff managers to detail the requests and changes made as well as the new documentation of assignment logic per nurse. The impact was significant time saving for the data analyst and provided visibility to management of the actual logic for nurses being assigned, where this was not previously available. Flutter Mobile Phone App As a personal project, 2019-2021 I learned dart programming language and the Flutter SDK to work on developing a phone app. I developed wireframes, implementation plan, built APIs to a Firebase backend, custom authentication and pushed the app onto both Android and iOS testing platforms.
