I am an editor with experience that extends from proofreading through copyediting, line editing, and developmental editing. I enjoy working with short stories, manuscripts, and children's books, but I also work with academic papers and manuscripts, as well as memoirs. No matter the length or contents of your work, I can help! • I can edit each document using Word's Track Changes so that you can see my suggestions and accept or reject them accordingly. For more complex edits, I will leave detailed comments in the margins. • I can also use Adobe Acrobat to edit PDFs, using Adobe's various commenting tools to mark up a post-design piece. This sort of edit would include a look at formatting and visual appeal. • For longer works (50+ pages), I can include a “style sheet” that lists patterns of error in grammar and usage as well as any formatting issues or terminology that need to remain consistent upon request. • For a developmental edit, I will include a document extensively outlining my suggestions and all your options for developing your work at a larger, organizational level. • I can help you align your work with Chicago, MLA, or APA styles, according to your needs. • I will stay in communication with you every step of the way!Developmental EditingAPA FormattingLine EditingCopy EditingProblem ResolutionEditing & ProofreadingTechnical WritingChicago Manual of StyleCommunication SkillsMultitaskingAdobe InDesignTime ManagementCopywritingMicrosoft OfficeFrench - $40 hourly
