Hi! My name is Sid M. I am attending Brown University in the fall of 2013 to study Environmental Science. I absolutely love to write. Everyone understands the basic functions of writing, whether those may include self-expression, persuasion, communication, etc. However, during my education, I have discovered that, to me, writing is a means of catharsis and self-renewal. For me, it is one thing to saturate one's mind with thoughts but it is completely different to saturate a paper with those very thoughts. The tangible representation of an idea brings out a different kind of emotion, and this emotion is magnified when others read and understand your writing and innermost feelings. This emotion--this bliss of communication--is an exclusive feeling that I was fortunately able to understand and experience as a high school student, which is something many do not get to feel until much later in life. Due to my experience in writing, I have a writing voice and style mature beyond my years and eloquent ideas which span a variety of topics. I can express my ideas concisely, or utilize an extraordinarily lofty style of prose as a means of communicating to my audience that which I would like for them to listen to, understand, and grasp with the very core of their soul. My writing can bring an audience to tears, or bear good news in such a way that my readers are filled with jubilation in every fiber of their beings. Or I can just stop being dramatic and just tell you straight up--I'm a pretty good writer, I'd say. In addition, I am willing to conduct any sort of data entry, research, or secretarial work. I have access to a fast computer and can download the latest software easily. I have worked in a hospital for medical data entry (extremely sensitive information) and I handled the work extremely well. I realize that I lack formal experience, but my education has given me more than some experienced writers have. Please consider me for any type of piece, whether it calls for the perspective of a student or for a social commentary of politics or modern science. Thank you for your time and help! :)
