A small-town jackie-of-all-trades, my work history is a varied portfolio of academic, political, administrative, and creative work. The common throughline across each of these endeavors is my delivery of clear, concise, and impassioned works of writing. In 2020, I graduated from Duke University with my Bachelor of Science in Economics and my Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. For my thesis in the latter degree, I received the Alona E. Evans Prize in International Law. In 2023, I earned a Master's of Arts in Philosophy from Louisiana State University. Over the course of my studies, I have worked both part-time and full-time as a communications and branding strategy specialist in the non-profit sector. I have also worked as an entry essay consultant for domestic and international students at undergraduate and graduate levels. I helped my clients gain entry into competitive academic programs by giving them the tools they needed to convey their personal experiences in unique, yet stylized expressions. In other jobs, I have served as a speechwriter, content creator, and media representative having worked with organizations ranging from local papers to The New York Times and Al-Jazeera. In my creative endeavors, I have written several short stories, plays, short films, and a full-length screenplay which reached the attention of veteran editors and producers. My career aspirations are ultimately to continue in this line of work. Though I have worked in a range of genres, my consistent tone involves hopeful absurdism, reminiscent of Wes Anderson and Greta Gerwig. I gravitate strongly towards themes of rebirth in the face of tragedy.
