Ann E. Smith I’ve worked in technology marketing for nearly 30 years. Since 2008, I’ve been a freelancer producing content for the IT industry for some of the biggest names in technology—AWS, Cisco, CloudBees, Lexmark, Oracle, Salesforce, and Wipro as well as an extensive list of IT consultants and systems integrators. Mainstay, a premier content agency for the technology industry, was one of my primary clients for 15 years. I’ve written everything from ROI studies to case studies, win stories to blogs, infographics to ebooks. I’ve ghostwritten more blogs and bylined articles for IT thought leaders than I can count. I can interview a subject matter expert and create a cohesive story that details the business challenges, solutions, and benefits of a technology implementation or describe a visionary technology strategy. Prior to becoming a freelancer, I worked on Oracle’s customer reference team. I was responsible for recruiting and managing customers for reference activities, such as speaking engagements, analyst activities, press releases, media opportunities, videos, and marketing collateral. Since I joined Oracle from the PeopleSoft acquisition in January 2005, I was responsible for migrating PeopleSoft customer marketing data to Oracle's data systems. I also managed acquisition communications for the PeopleSoft and J.D. Edwards customers to keep them abreast of merger activities and the impacts to their businesses. Prior to Oracle and PeopleSoft, I worked in customer communications at J.D. Edwards, which was eventually acquired by PeopleSoft. And before that, I was the Director of Marketing at YOUcentric, Inc., a CRM start-up that was acquired by J.D. Edwards. The feather in my cap—I was one of only four original YOUcentric employees to survive the three acquisitions and ultimately end up at Oracle. Early in my career, I worked at UUNet Technologies, one of the first commercial internet service providers, and Cable & Wireless, a European telecommunications company. I am a 1991 graduate of Virginia Tech with a B.A. in Communication Studies. I live in Asheville, NC, and I’ve worked remotely for more than 20 years.Editorial CalendarContent AuditWhite Paper WritingBlog DevelopmentProject ManagementContent CreationBlog WritingGhostwritingEditorial WritingContent WritingSocial Media ContentEditing & ProofreadingCase Studies - $100 hourly
