Customer Service Story One day, a customer entered our office. He inquired about his package, and I went to check with the warehouse. His was one of the dormant accounts, and I had no idea he had ordered some stuff from us. He had done so through my boss. Unfortunately, some of the items were missing, through no fault of ours. He needed to have ordered well in advance to help us get everything from our supplier in good time for him. I tried to explain to him the best way I could, but it was impossible to make him happy. It must have been a good discussion, though, for he lingered. Along the way in the conversation, he asked, “Do you know who I am?”(I was somewhat taken aback and amused but did my best not to show it.)
