My educational background in MPH (in view), M.Sc. in Health Policy and Health System, Certificate in Monitoring and Evaluation Fundamentals, Certificate in Health Policy and Health Systems Research, Certificate in Program Management for Development Professionals (PMD Pro), Bachelor of Nursing Science, Bachelor of Science in Nursing Administration, Registered Nurse, Registered Midwife, Registered Nurse Educator, training on global health research and other research trainings along with my professional experience makes me an excellent candidate for this position.
I have 21 years clinical experience as a Nurse-Midwife in Alex Ekwueme Federal University Teaching Hospital Abakaliki and rose to the rank of an Assistant Director of Nursing before joining the development work. I have 6 years’ experience working with INGO in 3 USAID-funded project – USAID-MCHIP, USAID-MCSP and USAID Integrated Health Program which focused on RMNCAH activities.
I also have 7+ years of cognate experience in generating ideas, developing research protocols and survey tools, conducting research using both quantitative and qualitative methods e.g., focus group discussions, in-depth interviews, questionnaires etc., excellent report writing, writing scientific papers and can learn rapidly. I am proficient in using Epidata, ODK, SPSS, Comcare and Epi Info or other mobile data collection technology, for quantitative and qualitative data collection and analysis.
