I'm Kylar Osborne, a versatile software engineer with a strong background in embedded systems. Whatever you're trying to do, I have a proven track record of being able to break down problems, offer solutions, and deliver polished results. Beginning with programming games in middle school, I went on to compete in robotics competitions, develop my own LED embedded systems, and then study Computer Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin. I'm now working full-time at SpaceX, and solving some of the most difficult product problems as part of working on the Starlink dish software. Having worked for many years at Silicon Labs in applications, testing, and production of IoT devices, I possess hands-on experience in development of embedded software solutions using C, Python, and Assembly. Since then, I have broadened my full stack experience by building serverless backends with Google Cloud Platform / AWS and staying up to date on AI tools. This area of technology is super exciting! I take pride in my ability to adapt to new technologies and always find a solution no matter the problem. As a passionate problem solver, I enjoy tackling challenges and delivering high-quality solutions tailored to clients' needs. I hope to leverage my expertise and enthusiasm for software development, embedded systems, and innovative technology to help you achieve your goals.Embedded Systems

I am a "full stack" hardware engineer who handles the entire product design pipeline. I have designed CNC machines, PCBs, avionics firmware, and various other hardware projects. I build systems from the ground up - from mechanical CAD, to electrical design, to the firmware and software programming. If you have an idea in mind, I can make it a reality. - I have extensive experience with embedded/low level C programming, microcontrollers, and Linux drivers - I am CSWA certified in Solidwork mechanical CAD, and have even taught rapid prototyping - I hold a degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering with a minor in Robotics - I have a wide exposure to the various aspects of product design and can help you refine your idea. I am happy to brainstorm and recommend tools/technologies/design methodologies to get things rolling. - I'm not afraid to get my hands dirty and build/ship real prototypes - My schedule is very flexible and I am happy to make myself available based around any times that work best for you!Embedded Systems

Hi there! I'm Cole Morgan, a results-driven software engineer specializing in embedded systems, digital signal processing, and machine learning. With a strong command of C/C++, Python, and Linux, I am dedicated to delivering high-quality solutions and optimizing performance. During my work experiences, I gained valuable expertise and made significant contributions to leading technology companies. At Qualcomm, I implemented multiple software features for their 5G modem, addressing over 25 customer issues and becoming the go-to person for Cell Reselection. At NXP Semiconductors, I improved the Object Detection Demo for their computer vision processor using advanced filtering algorithms. Additionally, I designed and verified a lightweight voice recognition algorithm at Silicon Labs and created web-based front-end tools and log report visualizers at Cirrus Logic. These experiences have enhanced my expertise in embedded systems, digital signal processing, machine learning, and software development. I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering with High Honors from The University of Texas at Austin, where I maintained an exceptional GPA of 3.98/4.00. Alongside my technical skills, I have a passion for music and am an accomplished trumpet player, producer, and mixing/mastering engineer. If you're seeking a dedicated and highly skilled software engineer with expertise in embedded systems, digital signal processing, and machine learning, I'm here to contribute my talents to your projects. Let's collaborate and bring your ideas to life!Embedded Systems

I began my career in the Texas Army National Guard working as a technician on UH-60 Blackhawk helicopters and eventually became a door gunner then crew chief assisting with helicopter missions, departing military service as E-5/Sergeant. I enjoyed the military because the work was interesting and exciting, it gave me opportunities to grow in my leadership skills, and I was part of a fantastic unit (1-108th AV). Despite all this, I realized that I needed a more challenging and rewarding career than what I was able to pursue in the Army. While on a deployment to Kuwait and Iraq in 2018-2019, I concluded that a career as an electrical engineer was the best fit for me considering my capabilities, interests, and life goals, so I enrolled in community college upon my return and started classes in Spring of 2020. Despite the dual challenges of Covid-19 lockdowns and readjusting to school after a 4-year academic hiatus, I was able to graduate from UT Austin in Fall 2023. I studied electrical and computer engineering with a primary focus on real time and embedded systems, and secondary foci on software engineering, computer architecture, signal processing, and data science/AI. The part of my education that I enjoyed the most were my project assignments. My favorite projects were those where I got to do the high-level architecture of the design. The two that are foremost in my mind are a digital wireless walkie-talkie I made for an embedded systems class and the operating system I and a partner wrote for an RTOS class. The enjoyment I felt while examining and debating the trade-offs of various components, PCB layouts, data structures, algorithms, and time/space complexity with my team members motivated me to strive to eventually become an architect. Since it’s early in my career, my biggest goal right now is to learn as much as I can about the industry while simultaneously sharpening my technical skills as much as possible for the day that I eventually reach that goal. Outside of work, my hobbies include Rubik’s cube speed solving, marathons, and car restoration. For those who are interested, I solve a Rubik’s cube using full CFOP with personal best single of 8.91s, a Ao5 of 12.77s, Ao12 of 13.66s, and Ao100 of 14.65s. My 1st marathon was an extremely challenging trail race (Pandora's box of rox) and the 2nd was the 2024 Austin marathon with my PB of 5:03:22. Lastly, I’m currently working on restoring a 1971 Chevrolet El Camino doing mechanical work, bodywork, sheet metal fabrication, welding, painting, and eventually a full restomod.Embedded Systems
