I have over 20 years of progressive relevant experience in human resources management and recruitment in local and international organizations. I am a member of the Institute of Personnel Management. I have held Management to Executive Director roles over my tenure in various orgarnisations. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, a diploma in Personnel management and a certificate in Labour Law.
I am an excellent team player who listens and thrives on collaborating with diversely talented team members. I am a self-motivated individual who has worked in strategizing HR in organizations and led in consultative recruitment for strategic and key roles of Global business enterprises. I express ideas or facts in clear, concise and open manner. When communicating, consideration for the feelings and needs of others is second nature actively listening and proactively sharing knowledge. I handle conflict effectively, by overcoming differences of opinion and finding common ground. I have sourced passive candidates for key roles in the African portfolio for NGOs, Medical Healthcare, Engineering, Transport and Distribution as well as Petroleum industries among others through social media channels and creative networking through referrals as well as internet mining. I have led organizational skills audits and restructuring programmes.
I have been responsible for defining recruitment sourcing strategies for vacant roles on the orgarnisations organogram based on labour market and geographic focus.
I have solid experience in establishing HR policies and procedures for reviewing applications and assessments of candidate qualifications against set criteria as per orgarnisations labour requisition specifications ensuring that candidates are within salary ranges for specific positions and markets and that they understand the compensation package during the interview process. I have strong experience in conducting interviews for hiring processes, preparing notes, and making recommendations to hiring managers on candidate shortlist. I have had direct responsibilities in Scheduling panel interviews and organizing feedback from interviewers.
Among my roles is provision of regular reports to hiring managers on a timely basis regarding status relating to all positions; including outreach and response for each position as needed for both open and ring-fenced organizational roles. I have the passion and ability to develop, advise on and implement a full range of Human Resource strategies necessary to support effective people management for the organization and to ensure Human Resource Management contributes to and is aligned to the organization’s strategic goals.
