Please note: Please leave feedback for your freelancers - even if it's only 5 stars with no comment - no feedback hurts our algorithms and makes it harder for clients to find the rockstars they want, like me. Thank you! :) I have had the pleasure of over twenty-five years in business administration, project management, and customer service, utilizing my great eye for detail, research, and and writing skills to the benefit of a wide spectrum of clientele. I enjoy creating databases, and helping people gather the information they need. As a former executive assistant for a precision timing company, I have transcribed, edited and produced technical manuals, done almost everything possible with spreadsheets, and have created a plethora of resumes for clients, family, and friends with a high call-back rate. Over the years, I have found freelancing to be very fulfilling. I am able to help a larger pool of people with their projects by telecommuting, while simultaneously home schooling my disabled tween. In my spare time, I enjoy living green, spending time with and writing stories for my daughter, enjoying the beautiful outdoors of Oregon fishing and camping, trying out new recipes for my solar cooker, and reading everything I can get my hands on. I look forward to working with you! Office Hours: My typical office hours are between 8 am - 5 pm PST/PDT Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, with the occasional evening and weekend. However, I can usually adjust my schedule to any US time zone to accommodate you. If I have sent you a proposal, I am able to complete the work as described at that time, within a reasonable time frame.EnglishData EntryAtlassian ConfluenceProject Management OfficeOrganizerJiraSalesforceAsanaAdobe AuditionPodcast ProductionGoogle WorkspaceWordPress - $30 hourly

I received my BA in Spanish from California Lutheran University in 2016. My two current jobs require advanced knowledge of Spanish and I am passionate about continuing to study this beautiful language. My experience working in elementary schools has given me the opportunity to work as a Spanish interpreter for parents (during parent-teacher conferences) and to translate school documents into Spanish. From my translation experience, I have learned that it is crucial to be an avid researcher in order to produce the most authentic result. I have also volunteered at Volunteers in Medicine (a non-profit organization that provides medical care to low-income individuals and families), for the past two summers, where I assisted Spanish speaking patients in a variety of ways. I am excited to gain more experience in translation work.EnglishEnglish to Spanish TranslationUS English DialectSpanish to English TranslationVoice RecordingMexican Spanish DialectProofreading - $30 hourly

I am very good at rephrasing ideas to make them more palatable to people's ears. I can figure out a way to say things that will resonate with crowds, or the specific audience intended. I have a very wide vocabulary and use it to my advantage, and can find the absolute right word for a concept as opposed to "like" phrases or metaphors. I am good at using humor as a part of all that I do and I listen attentively in order to have better conversations and more productive and rewarding meetings. I am also effective as a "chair" in a group setting and remaining impartial when determining the merit of an idea as opposed to having a "what have you done for me lately" reaction tailored to who presented it. I am naturally curious and interested in what other people can teach me and what I might be able to offer them.EnglishCustomer SatisfactionProduct DescriptionWritingActive ListeningSubtitle EditPersuasive ToneBook ReviewReview WebsiteEditing & ProofreadingCritical Thinking SkillsCopy EditingWriting CritiqueSocial Listening - $25 hourly

As a former academic (Ph.D. and M.F.A.), I provide flexible writing expertise, as well as broad proofreading and editing skills, ranging from manuscript evaluation to concerns of grammar and style for fiction, nonfiction and gaming projects. Most recently I was the creative development lead at the now inactive Starboard Games LLC. In addition to writing and editing lore contributions, I oversaw game-related projects, such as shepherding into publication a comic book based on one of my short stories. I also composed and editing internal documents and public-facing online posts while at Starboard Games LLC. Currently I am editing my novel manuscript and proofreading for The Future Fire, a science-fiction magazine that previously published my story “Last Address.” As an undergraduate at Northern Illinois University I worked as a copyeditor for the Northern Star, proofreading stories, columns, features and writing headlines. Post-graduation I worked as a proofreader for the Daily Herald, the third largest newspaper in Illinois. There, I proofed advertisement copy, working with ad reps, artists, graphic designers and clients in a fast-paced environment. As a graduate student of fiction writing at the University of New Orleans, I vetted manuscripts for Bayou, the program’s national literary journal. Furthermore, I worked as the nonfiction editor of Ellipsis for one year, the program’s in-house literary journal, managing submissions and a small staff of readers while working with other editors. I was awarded an editorial fellowship at Fourth Genre, a leading publisher of the creative essay as a doctoral candidate at Michigan State University. I worked with and helped manage a staff of undergraduate and graduate interns interested in creative and professional writing careers, while assessing manuscripts and corresponding with authors.EnglishProofreadingWritingAcademic ResearchFiction WritingShort Story WritingCreative Writing - $20 hourly
