I take pride in my ability to repurpose writing from more traditional mediums like film and television to create curated stories for brands looking to make their product more accessible to the average consumer. All writing boils down to creating a narrative that people can truly connect with, and I think succinct storytelling is the best possible approach for any company looking to extend their reach. I've been lucky enough to work professionally in a variety of environments situated at the intersection of communication and business. In my experience writing in the world of Tech, both as an employee and as a freelancer, I've been able to fine-tune my ability to translate industry jargon to the point where any customer can feel completely comfortable in their ability to not only understand their investment but make full use of it. Additionally, my studies in Politics and other social sciences have allowed me the opportunity to analyze quantitative analysis and project my findings through writing. So many companies have the data in place to communicate their potential and success but don't take the proper steps to present that information in a palatable way for someone who operates outside of that social and/or professional circle. While I by no means consider myself an expert on the ever-evolving world of technology and how many of the cornerstones of Web3 are being integrated into our cultural lexicon, I find the entire field particularly fascinating. Once when I was seeking career advice I was told to, "pay attention to what you pay attention to," in order to find my passion. I firmly believe that working outside of the tech space, while constantly reading the trades and staying up-to-date on the latest industry advancements, puts me in an ideal position to communicate with consumers. More than anything, I want to communicate how privileged I feel to help spread the messaging of any and all clients. Your story is important, I fully understand that and want to do everything in my power to help you tell it.EntertainmentCopywritingVoice ActingGovernment & Public SectorMedia AnalyticsTechnical WritingVoice-OverTelevisionTelecommunicationsSports WritingComedy WritingAdvertisementStory Development - $50 hourly

Well, hello there! I'm Johny - like "Johnny B. Goode" by Chuck Berry (but with one 'n'). I love to write and hope to make all your copywriting dreams come true! What sets me apart from the pack? - a Masters Degree from Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland, so research is in my blood. - an undergraduate degree from Villanova University in Communication, Sociology, and Russian Area Studies, so I've dedicated many hours to studying groups and how we communicate as human beings. - a certificate in Screenwriting from the University of Southern California, so I can build and tell a story. - a background as a professional actress who has made significant earnings in acting, as well as voiceover work, so I can be a one-stop shop (or a one-woman show) for all your copywriting and voiceover needs. - a love of laughter and joking around, so working with me is a pleasant experience. - biologically I am the youngest child of 7 but have 3 adopted younger siblings, so am 1 out of 10 kids. Finding and applying order to *chaos* is my norm. - I work hard. Really, really hard to make sure I bring honor and integrity to the work I do. - I don't scare easily, and I am a believer in life-long learning, so I will bring a hunger to learn to everything I do. So let's be cool human beings and keep communication open, ok? I'd love to help you fulfill all your professional writing needs!EntertainmentArticle WritingCopy EditingComedy WritingVoice-OverMedia & EntertainmentWritingContent WritingEditing & ProofreadingCreative WritingCopywritingSpeech WritingVoice ActingActing - $60 hourly

After five-plus years as a full-time video game journalist and editor for one of the most visible gaming verticals in the country, I am looking for a new opportunity. My goal is to bring my creativity, editorial management experience, and production skills to a company that puts both its customers and employees first without sacrificing growth. Throughout my career, I've gained practical knowledge from a diverse range of professional backgrounds. I've worked directly with customers as an entry-level cashier and bagger at a locally owned grocery store and as a shift supervisor for a national coffee chain. The interpersonal skills I learned in these jobs translated perfectly to working as a community coordinator for one of the top photography equipment retailers in the country, where I was able to provide value to our customers by launching a learning studio that taught them how to best utilize their new purchases. After moving to Los Angeles, I gained experience working at ABC Studios and seeing how a major TV pilot is managed firsthand, which helped me gain the confidence to co-found my own animation studio—a dream I'd had since I was a kid. This gave me a vehicle to develop original ideas and work with venues such as The Hollywood Improv and appear on AdultSwim.com. As one half of a two-person company, I worked with Adobe Animate, After Effects, Audacity, Photoshop, and Clip Studio Paint to create a tight production pipeline that made the most of our limited resources. This required a lot of creative problem-solving and a scrappy attitude, but we've managed to hit several of our main goals on YouTube and beyond, and continue to hustle to achieve our dreams. At the same time, I balanced a full-time career as an associate editor at EGMNow.com and Walmart Gamecenter, helping shape the brand identity of one of the most-read gaming verticals in the country. Not only did I write thousands of news articles, reviews, and features, but I also helped manage a stable of freelance writers, plan content schedules, and copy edit in-depth reports about the largest-growing entertainment industry in the world.EntertainmentWeb ApplicationNews WritingVideo Game ReviewTeam ManagementBrand ConsultingVideo GameReport WritingCopy EditingCartoon CharacterCharacter DesignAdobe PhotoshopAnimation - $20 hourly

I am a digital media strategist and writer in Los Angeles with over 15 years’ professional experience between marketing and entertainment. I got my MBA from Loyola Marymount University and a BFA from USC film school. As a marketer, I worked in client services and media strategy for SRAX and BIGtoken, planning and executing B2B and B2C digital campaigns on virtually every major digital platform (social, display, video, etc.) for brands including Lysol, Fisher Price, Nestle, Fresh Gourmet, Tyson, Girl Scouts, and Dannon. I also created and implemented sales and marketing studies on consumer habits around shopping, travel, entertainment, and more. As a writer, I’ve developed and written numerous projects for film and television, including a TV pilot starring Jonathan Silverman, Michael Gross, and Mary Lynn Rajskub, and an episode of Lifetime’s first digital series. I was also a writer and copy editor for the Gen Z-focused entertainment news site Hollywire, and wrote about pop music for Idolator, conducting one-on-one interviews with musical artists such as Bruno Mars and Wiz Khalifa. My passion is for finding the story, no matter the field or format. Sometimes that means digging into a mountain of data, locating patterns in user demographics or behavior, and articulating these back to coworkers and clients. Other times, it’s helping a brand get to know themselves or their customers better, and vice versa, connecting companies to consumers through well-crafted copy. As someone with both a creative and business education, I bring an entertainment mindset to digital marketing and a business-oriented perspective to more creative work. I believe every audience wants to be entertained, whether they’re viewing a film, a TV series, or an advertisement, and I bring my understanding of how to make people lean forward and laugh, cry, shiver, think, or otherwise engage to all of my work. I specialize in ad copywriting across display, social, and video channels, as well as social media content, surveys, blog posts, website copy, consumer insights studies, whitepapers, and more.EntertainmentSocial Media AdvertisingMarketingBrand StrategyScreenwritingAdvertisingPaid MediaAdvertisementCopywritingAd Copy - $20 hourly
