Hi, I’m Trudi, I am an experienced entrepreneur, passionate creative and advocate for making ideas happen. Over the last nine years, I’ve built and run businesses from the ground up, including 7 years running a successful social enterprise in Scotland. I’ve been through the highs and the lows (and everything in between) and I’d love to share what I’ve learned to help you kickstart your journey. Whether you’re a creative, someone with a big idea for social good (or a bit of both) I can help you turn that spark into something sustainable. My experience is working mostly with Community Interest Companies and I can guide you through the nitty-gritty, because I know only too well how overwhelming it can be!! I’m particularly passionate about helping people: - Develop a clear and actionable start-up strategy - Identify and define the social needs your project aims to address - Set the right product and service prices to ensure both sustainability and success - Create accurate and realistic cash flow projections - Understand and implement the policies your organisation requires - Overcome challenges and barriers with creative problem-solving - Recognise the importance of good governance and establish strong frameworks - Strategise how to measure and communicate your social impact effectively - Prioritise self-care to maintain sustainability for yourself and your team - Streamline your work by automating and organising tasks efficiently - Work through frustrations by being a supportive ear to vent or brainstorm with As someone with ADHD and dyslexia, I understand the unique challenges (and advantages) that come with thinking differently, and so I love helping others with similar experiences bring their visions to life, especially if you’ve ever felt overwhelmed by where to start or how to stay organised. Let’s work together to build something incredible. Whether you need help mapping out your ideas, creating financial projections, or navigating the day-to-day of running a social enterprise, I’m here to support you every step of the way!!EntrepreneurshipPolicy DevelopmentStrategic PlanCreative DirectionProblem SolvingSocial Impact AssessmentCash Flow AnalysisTask AutomationBusiness CoachingOrganizational PlanGovernance, Risk Management & CompliancePricingNonprofitStartup ConsultingCash Flow Statement - $40 hourly

A linguist by education, Jonathan Harris followed a business career in the shipping and oil & gas industries by editing (and largely writing) a monthly publication tracking entrepreneurial young companies in Scotland and how they finance their growth. After graduating from Cambridge University, Jonathan joined Scottish shipping group The Ben Line, and after four years in Japan worked with the group offshore drilling subsidiary Atlantic Drilling, eventually serving 15 years as director and general manager. Then from 2000 to 2023 Jonathan was the editor and publisher of Young Company Finance (YCF). Besides publishing the monthly journal, Jonathan produced an annual conference, and delivered a range of research studies in the young company sector, including for 14 years the annual Risk Capital Market in Scotland reports for Scottish Enterprise, and the annual UK-wide Investment Benchmarking Analysis reports. In 2011 Jonathan launched Spinouts UK, a database of spinouts and start-ups from all universities across the UK, which was acquired by private company data provider Beauhurst in 2019. Now retired, Jonathan spends much of his time following his interest in classical music. A pianist from childhood, and an oboist at school and university, Jonathan took up the violin later in life. He has played in orchestras (including school, university, New Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, New Edinburgh Orchestra), and now focuses on playing chamber music, mainly string quartets but also various combinations of strings and piano.EntrepreneurshipEditing & ProofreadingMusicBook EditingBusiness - $10 hourly
