I am an Indian American, female, first generation college student with a background in Architecture. My journey has been full of diverse exposures that have allowed me to explore the field beyond the design and focus more on management. I graduated from the University of Washington with my BA in Architectural Design in 2018 and worked at Best Practice Architecture in Seattle for fourteen months where I focused on retail, hospitality and restaurant design. I was involved in concept design and worked on projects through delivery. My primary focus was on working with the clients to understand their specific needs, researching requirements, organizing & managing meetings, and iterating design ideas to achieve better results. I then moved to Chicago to pursue my Master in Architecture and graduated in May 2021. I have won multiple prestigious scholarships and awards for highly complex design projects; the highlight of which was the AIA Medal for Academic Excellence. I moved back to Seattle for the Olson Kundig internship program. I focused on coordination between the design team, the client, the stakeholders and the contractors, design development, and curating content for presentations and submissions. Upon working in the professional realm of Architecture, I realized that I need a shift in my career because I need a more fast paced, dynamic, and collaborative work environment. Having worked on a wide range of tasks, I was most gravitated towards managing, coordinating and planning which led me to take on the role of an Associate Project Manager at Bloom Projects. I started coordinating requirements and managing the workflow between the Owner, Architect and General Contractor team while ensuring the projects are delivered on time and within budget. Along with leading client calls, I have been managing the logistics of construction within occupied workspaces, and developing review strategies for resources and quarterly funding. This role has allowed me to develop strong communication, organizational, and time management skills that can be applied to a wide range of projects. This will allow you to entrust me with the project brief and relax knowing that the job will get done.Excel
