    I'm a data scientist with 20+ years of very diverse experiences – primarily for sales, marketing, healthcare, and fraud detection applications. I currently program almost exclusively in Python, but have previously used both SAS and R. I also know SQL, but prefer to get the data into Python as quickly as possible and stay there as long as possible. My specialty area is developing supervised machine learning (predictive) models. While I have significant experience with the most commonly-used algorithms (multiple linear regression, logistic regression, random forests, XG Boost, etc.), I’m a huge fan of the Explainable Boosting Machine (EBM) algorithm for both its predictive performance and its explainability properties.
