Photographer and Retoucher with over 20 years experience, working across the world. I specialise in Product, Jewellery, and Fashion. I am a proficient Photoshop Wizard, a light bender in the studio, and love working with all types of cameras :-) Over the years I have photographed everything from portraiture, aerial photography, architecture, food, interiors, sports stars, jewellery and so much more. I have lectured "Advanced digital photography" and other subjects at VEGA, a leading design college in South Africa, given talks at expo events, as well as produced many editorials for fashion magazines and a taken part in a few international exhibitions. I have worked across South Africa, Thailand, Chile, New York, Miami and now living in Portugal. Retouching - My retouching interest began in college in 1999, thats a long time ago. I would define myself as a creative person but I also have a strong tendency to logical reasoning. These are two characteristics that might seem poles apart but, personally, I believe they can coexist. For example, I have always had a tendency, since I was a child, to invent things, and then to explain them to others. I went from illustrated fairy tales to more particular things, like machinery, often science-fiction:) As a child I invented a very complicated machine that was used to peel and squeeze oranges: I had designed the machine and then described every single phase of the process, step by step. Let's say that this tendency of mine pushed me to become a graphic designer and illustrator as I thought it was a good compromise to be able to exploit my propensity for creativity in a context that is not only artistic but also structured and usable. So I think I'm a combination of creativity and logic, because I have a tendency to go out of the box but at the same time to be very precise and to give meaning to everything I make, a cause and an effect. I like to listen, I believe that listening is the principle of everything: ideas, understanding, intelligence in general. When you listen you learn. All time. Even from the last person from whom you might expect to learn something.
