Implemented a planetary gear system with clutch bearings to allow for 2 configuration energy generation mechanism which can operate in both water (sailing) and wind (when boat is idle). Carried out FEA simulations to study and verify the stresses within the gearbox and shafts. * Coded a SMART Group Sorting algorithm for an Undergraduate Research project on Python. Algorithm functions to automatically read student data from an Excel file, statistically optimize group formation and write the groups formed into another Excel file for ease of use. * Worked on various Machine Learning and Deep Learning projects such as spam email detection, tumour cells classification, news-stock sentiment analysis and developed a neural network originally, without dependence on existing deep learning libraries. * Worked on a fluid flow simulations code using the Lattice Boltzmann method to simulate a flow across a bluff body and observe formation of Von Karman vortex streets on Python and MATLAB. Also coded heat distribution simulations for laptop cooling systems and the solution to the Schrodinger Wave equation for a double slit experiment using the Crank Nicolson approach. * Worked on designing an aerodynamic 4 hole probe for fast data acquisition and carried out CFD simulations using ANSYS CFX to study pressure distributions around the probe design and estimate differential pressure sensor readings with different flow angle cases.
