I'm here to help you become a better writer while on your way to publishing a great book! Blue Square Writers Studio provides professional editing and consultation services for fiction and creative non-fiction. All Blue Square Editors are themselves writers with their Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Writing. Because we're all advanced writers ourselves, our services are unlike any other. We understand and empathize with the struggles inherent to the craft of writing. We tailor each project to specifically fit your styles and needs, providing personalized expertise to your project. A bit about me personally: I earned my bachelor’s in education and my master’s of fine arts in creative writing. My writing has been published in several literary magazines, and in addition to being Executive Editor at Blue Square Writers Studio, I also teach English and journalism. My business model is to help clients become better writers, not merely correct their commas and spelling. To that end, I tailor my editing to meet your needs and wants. You're the boss. I'm here to provide consultation and expertise to your project. I look to establish a long-term relationship and to help my clients multiple times on multiple projects. I return manuscripts in 7-10 business days and I charge only $4/page. I have worked with a variety of writers on a variety of genres and have a long list of very satisfied clients. You can Google Blue Square Writers Studio for more info. I edit in two distinct ways: First, I provide in-text edits. I make any grammatical, spelling, or mechanics corrections – i.e. the typical copy editing. If there are repeated errors, I'll teach you how to fix those. I also interact with the text like a normal reader. I write comments on the manuscript (digitally, using Word's comment feature), ask questions, suggest improvements (and teach you how) and let you know how I'm reading, on a sentence-by-sentence level, what you've written. I’ve attached an example PDF so you can see how I edit. Second, I draft a write-up (~4 pages) addressing overall issues, compliments, and suggestions. In this write-up, I detail big-picture and whole-book concepts and how you can best handle them. I offer mini-lessons and explanations on writing craft specifically focused on your style and project. After I've returned the manuscript to you, I'm also available to answer any questions or clarify any comments – anything to help as we take the next steps in the process. Please let contact me with questions or concerns. I'm always happy to offer a free sample edit. I look forward to working together! best, ChristopherFiction WritingDevelopmental EditingTrack ChangesWriting - $45 hourly

As a writer, editor, and photographer I have worked in a myriad of roles and projects over the past several years; these have given me direct experience in the many aspects of producing quality content. My experience in developmental and acquisitional editing has given me experience in helping others define their visions when it comes to novels and non-fiction essays. This experience has further led to working with writing competitions--judging short stories and screenplays. When it comes to photography and videography, I have covered live events while also specializing in product, lifestyle, and nature. Hello, my name is Kaye. I am a native English speaker, and an award-winning author. I have been writing, editing and proofreading for over a decade. I finished my first novella at the age of 12, and my first novel at 16. It has fueled me to continue writing throughout the past decade, striving to become better with each piece I write and edit. My experience includes short stories and novellas ranging from 5,000 to 40,000 words. I have written novels as long as 100,000 words in the fantasy genre, but hover around the 60,000 to 80,000-word mark typically. I have worked on the following niches in romance: - Historical (Victorian, Regency, medieval eras) - LGBT+ (contemporary as well as sci-fi/fantasy) - Clean romance - Dark Romance (mafia, contemporary, paranormal) - Contemporary - New Adult/College - Paranormal (shifter, vampires, etc.) - Fantasy and sci-fi - Cozy crime/female detective Most of these were ghostwritten, but many of them are also personal projects that are included in my samples. I have years of experience writing quickly, while still keeping my quality top-notch for clients. As of now, I have ghostwritten over 30 books for various clients over the years, and worked closely with my clients to edit them. I have batch written 500+ articles for various clients over the years. I have covered many topics, and I am an excellent researcher. I can write about nearly anything, given that I can research it! I know a lot about SEO, and how to make compelling articles that keep readers engaged. I have published 3 horror romance novellas and several short stories since March of 2023, and have since won an award for one of my novellas. These are all self-published, so I have an intimate knowledge of the self-publishing process outside of writing and editing. I take learning very seriously and aspire to write daily to keep my skills sharp. I have a strong drive to learn new words and how to use them in my work. My rates are currently $0.03+/word for ghostwriting.Fiction WritingSearch Engine OptimizationArticle WritingBook EditingCreative WritingWritingEditing & ProofreadingGhostwritingEbook WritingNovel - $45 hourly

With a family legacy in the restaurant industry, I embarked on my entrepreneurial journey at a young age. I founded my first restaurant/café at 19, and under the guidance of my mother, scaled it to two locations within a year. Although I faced setbacks due to my relative inexperience, these challenges became stepping stones to my future endeavors: Seasoned Creations, a catering company, and Galtrek Executive Protection Contracting, an agency focused on executive security. Navigating two distinct industries taught me that a strong work ethic and unwavering professionalism are universally valued keys to success. The onset of the Covid-19 pandemic required me to adapt and slow down business operations, which in turn opened a new avenue for me: writing. Today, I leverage a diverse skill set and knowledge base to produce high-quality content on a wide range of subjects including Food, Business, Technology, Sports (as a former boxer and basketball player), Film, Music, and Pop Culture. My commitment to excellence is evident in my prompt adherence to deadlines and flexibility in content creation. I am consistently driven to deliver the highest quality output in any project I undertake.Fiction WritingCreative WritingPrompt EngineeringScreenwritingFoodVideo CommercialCopywritingFilmWritingDocumentary - $40 hourly

Whether you’re looking for a steamy handprint against a shower wall kind of story or one with only puppy kisses on the first date, I’m the ghostwriter for your romance novel. I’ve been on Upwork for almost two years and in that relatively short time I’ve completed over 20 full-length novels for several long-term clients. I provide creative, emotion-filled stories with the highest quality prose. I’m passionate about good storytelling and I value working with clients who share that passion. I offer both drafts and outlines. Please have a look at my samples below for an idea of the kind of work I can provide as your ghostwriter. If you have an outline ready to go, great! If you just have an idea for a conflict or plot or character, I can help you expand that idea. And even if all you have is a desire to see a story come to life, we can brainstorm something great together. My outlines include full character arcs, compelling conflicts, and a chapter-by-chapter breakdown. While I do specialize in romance, I have worked in the following genres: mystery, fantasy, and sci-fi. I also write in a wide range of genres personally and I’m always willing to give something a try, so if you’re interested in having me write something other than romance, please reach out. Let’s talk about it! My rate is .05 cent/word for a draft and .06 cent/word for an outline. I believe that you’ll see my work more than justifies this rate. That being said, I’m always interested in working with clients with big ideas and big passions for their stories, so don’t be afraid to reach out; we can always talk to try and find a rate that works for your budget. Just a few minutiae: I typically work in 5,000 word milestones to make sure my clients are satisfied with the direction before moving forward. My goal is always to respond to any communication from a client within 24hrs. And if you have an NDA you’d like me to sign, that’s not a problem. At the moment I’m looking to take on a couple more clients and would love to discuss the idea of collaborating with you! Your story deserves to be told.Fiction WritingCreative WritingProofreadingShort Story Writing - $45 hourly

I have taken many high-level English classes throughout my academic career, including AP English Language & Composition and AP English Literature, as well as Honors Socratic Seminar. All of these classes have given me a general outlook on how different types of writing pieces should look, and obviously I have an excellent grasp on grammar and the construction of style. I've written many, many essays, several extensive research paper, the longest being 25 pages. Reading frequently has also given me lots of experience in the English language. Taking 7 years of Spanish through school has additionally given me a better understanding of English and language in general, in relation to specific grammar rules and vocabulary. Proofreading is what I feel most qualified for, be it an academic research paper or a fiction or other non-fiction piece. It would be very exciting for me to watch a novel develop and proofread or edit it, but that's just a personal dream.Fiction WritingNonfictionMicrosoft WordGoogle DocsResearch Papers - $25 hourly

The first novel Michelle John ever read was ‘The Wizard of Oz’ when she was six years old, and she has been fascinated by the intersection of fantasy and girl power ever since. As soon as she figured out the proper way to hold a pen she started writing stories about princesses who rescue dragons from evil princes. She hasn’t yet found a reason to stop.
