I am a longtime script reader and have worked in the development field for years, helping to get projects to the next level. Presently, I work for The Black List as well as Nostos Screenwriting Retreats. I have freelanced for several other companies in the same capacity and have worked directly with clients on their scripts through Upwork. I also work as a fiction writer for PocketFM where I write and adapt content for the Western market for their serialized podcasts. My work as both a writer and reader makes me a fantastic candidate to work on your screenplay or provide some fresh writing on a new idea. Please feel free to reach out with inquiries! I look forward to working with you!Film Criticism

I've been working on tapeless production projects for around 8 years now: my passion for the medium began as early as high school. During this time, I've become experienced with a variety of video editing softwares: Sony Vegas Pro, Camtasia, Cyberlink Power Director/Audio Director, Final Cut Pro, and Adobe Premiere Pro. I am able to navigate new and unfamiliar softwares quite rapidly, and am very receptive to different techniques. I have an interest in rapid editing, à la soviet montage, which trigger more emotive responses in the viewer. I am also experienced in continuity editing and building structurally sound narratives. I am an experienced academic writer, especially in the realm of film theory and criticism. I have a knack for researching credible sources and translating in layman's terms.Film Criticism

Over the last few years I've been working as a creative non-fiction writer. I primarily started off reviewing video games, but over time I've expanded into other areas of interest. In general, I'd like to write about some of my main interests which are video games, movies, music, and professional wrestling, but I like to believe that if you're good at writing about one thing, you should be able to use the skills you've gained in one area to expand into other areas of writing. Even if I would like to write about what I'm already good at, I'm open to any and all opportunities that I believe I'm capable of doing, and I don't want to limit myself. Currently I'm mainly looking for voiceover opportunities seeing as how I'm the owner of two YouTube channels, and it's something I'm experienced with. If you think I'd be a good fit for your project/overall needs, please don't hesitate to reach out to me. Thank you very much. -Alejandro AldanaFilm Criticism

I'm an experienced storyteller and editor who empowers writers from their first to final drafts. - I have worked at six entertainment companies and two screenwriting competitions reviewing scripts, books, short stories, and articles. - I helped dozens of writers improve their drafts, from screenplays to personal statements to book manuscripts. - In addition to writing my own book, I've served as a beta reader for several book manuscripts. - As a teacher, tutor, author, and employee, I know how to find the story and push the draft to perfection. Communication is important to me, so let's stay in touch!Film Criticism
