During my time there, I worked on multiple transactions across Canada, U.S., and the Middle East. Although, I quickly realized that I wanted to be closer to the operations of a company which is when I decided to leave investment banking and ended up joining a high-growth digital advertising startup as the Head of Finance where he was responsible for managing the company’s operations. I worked directly alongside the CEO to grow the company from 5 employees to 30+ and scaled revenue by 5x in under 3 years. During my time there, I learnt the hard and soft skills of operating a business, something that sat well with me given my entrepreneurial background.
