I am an Aerospace Engineer, focusing on the computational aspects of engineering. I have experience in Structural Analysis (including Analytical methods and Finite Element Analysis), Computer Programming (Python, Matlab, C/C++), Engineering Materials, Engineering Design. Over the past 6 months I have worked in developing Python scripts for ANSA (FEA pre-processor) to automate the finite element model creation process. The tools I have developed working for Audi, BMW and Ford help the model creation engineer save several hours per model and reduce variability between models, providing higher quality models and therefore more robust results. Before that, I have worked in Aerospace industry as a Stress engineer. I have developed and validated finite element models for a large aerospace interiors manufacturer. In this role I have developed models in ANSA, run simulations in Hyperworks Optistruct and post-processed the results in Hyperworks Hyperview. In this position, I have also developed a tool that automatically writes the simulation file, saving the team about half an hour of work for every model and help avoid mistakes. My formal education is in Aerospace Engineering. I have graduated with a First Class MEng in Aeronautics and Astronautics from the University of Southampton, in 2019. During my time in university I have focused on Materials and Structures. On structures side, I have experience in both design and analysis/simulation. In Material science, I have good understanding of both material properties and failure modes, including static, fatigue and creep failures. I also have very good knowledge of composite materials. My biggest projects consisted in designing the structure of a small unmanned jet powered aircraft and in developing an innovative method for non-destructive material testing (NDT). The jet powered aircraft was the first of its kind designed and built at my university. The article I have co-authored on the new NDT method is called "Infrared Deflectometry for Slope Deformation Measurements" and has been publiched in Springer's Experimental Mechanics.Finite Element Analysis
