Welcome. I'm a creative writer, copy editor, and journalist. Whether writing or editing my own words, or someone else's, I thrive on diving into the details and creating stories. My writing covers a broad swathe of topics from hyper local issues in DC – culture, politics, transit, urbanism, equity – to parenting and humor (Points in Case and The Weekly Humorist are rumored to carry a few of my by-lines). I spent two years working working as a copy editor for a hyper-local newspaper in D.C. Part of my mission was catching errors and tightening sentence structure. The other, and more important, part of my mission was sourcing content from the community that told its story. I also did my own investigative reporting – focused on community-driven stories. As well as writing and producing news, I've ghostwritten articles for top-tier publications, done extensive fact checks for trending news, proofread and edited graduate level essays, and provided beta reads, proofreads, and edits for authors. A highlight from 2022 was working Walking Cinema on the "Before the Bulldozers" walking tour as an on-site reporter and researcher in DC.
