LOGIC DESIGN ENGINEER Summary of areas of competence: Troubleshooting * Technical Leadership * Team Leadership * ATPG Testing * Static Tool Quality Assurance * Root cause analysis * DFX Design and Integration * SCAN/ATPG Logic Integration, Generation and Testing * SystemVerilog RTL coding * Verdi/VCS Simulation Debug * Asynchronous clock crossings * Static Timing Analysis * Integrated Voltage Regulation Control Design * Register File Design and Automation Highly skilled and motivated computer engineer with career expertise spanning multiple aspects of logic design: RTL/Logic Design and Debug, Static Quality Tools (CDC, RDC, Lint, LEC), Static Timing, MCOs, DFT Logic (TAP/SCAN) implementation and ATPG flow, Register File Design and Automation, Scripting (TCL/Perl) for automation of design and integration flows. Over the years I have worked in several different areas of design. More recently I have been the technical lead for DFT for Hard IP (Voltage Regulation) over several projects for Intel's data center and client processors. As part of DFT I was responsible for integrating TAP and SCAN logic controllers as well as running Tessent ATPG flows for chain generation and debugging coverage loss to meet project requirements. In addition to DFT I've owned several key design features of the HIP in the areas of RC calculation, telemetry, and DIG/ANA probe networks. I've designed a controller SIP from the ground up that integrates standard I/O IP (communication IP, fuse download, TAPs, Control Register Interface IP, SCAN) as well as coded custom state machines for sequencing and controlling the standard IP. As part of this role I routinely worked with verification teams to root cause complex bugs with both DFT and functional design features with Verdi/VCS. I also lead a virtual team of designers for SoC Clock Domain Crossing convergence tasks, training and supporting junior DEs on CDC design tools, methods, and tracking completion for project leads. I've also been the performance verification lead for complex, mixed-signal, multi-clock and multi-power domain IP, triaging and resolving critical architectural paths, and writing MCOs/SDC (multi-cycle overrides/Spyglass Design Constraints) for eliminating false paths. In my earlier career at Intel I owned design and implementation of Register File memory blocks as well as built a RF automation flow which created schematics and cell placement for fundamental low-ported RFs, winning Intel company awards in the process. As far as my work style and character, I'm the type of engineer who adapts easily to new tools and methodology and work easily and well with others. I enjoy working on different aspects of design as demonstrated by my varied experience and value a collaborative approach which puts team success over individual advancement. I'm looking for contract positions to further my design experience, with possibilities for full-time hire if it works out well.
