Intuitive Design, Impactful Graphics, Insightful Copy
Hi, I’m Alex and I’m a Creative Designer based in London with over 10 years of practical workplace and academic experience in product and graphic design spanning multiple industries. Inured with working on fast-paced projects to corporate guidelines and strict deadlines, I help clients understand the difference that effective quality over cheap quantity can have on brands.
Studying, understanding and interpreting holistic visual and technical theory in practical contexts is something I’ve dedicated my career to, enabling me to procure the most effective solutions for projects, clients and partners. These include:
- The National Trust
- Marks & Spencer Group PLC
- Bentley Motors Limited
- Waitrose & Partners
- Tesco PLC
- PKWG Limited and YiFang Tea UK
- Cornell Theme Park Entertainment Group
A product, website or brand’s function is imperative to its success, but good aesthetic design and intuitive visual cues can bestow intrinsic value, elevating an object, site, or graphic beyond its primary purpose to something lasting and memorable. The tone you strike with your audience can make or break relationships and conversion rates.
My areas of expertise include:
- Scalable Vector Graphic Design
- Product Design
- Hand Illustration
- Technical Packaging Artwork
- Wix and Shopify Web Design
- Social Media + Website Copywriting
My work ethic is systematic, empathic, and results-driven. I constantly assess how something can be done differently, more creatively, and more efficiently to engage and connect people in new ways without sacrificing anthropocentrism or budget. That’s how I helped to boost PKWG Ltd’s social engagement by 400% in the space of 2 months, as well as PlastoSac UK Ltd’s revenue by 14% over two years.
Digital Skills
- Adobe CC (Photoshop, Illustrator, Spark, Acrobat, InDesign, etc.), Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.), Wix, Shopify, 2D Design, Draftsight, SketchUp, Canva, Hootsuite
Artistic Skills
- Illustration, painting, graphic design, typography, 3D rendering, copywriting, store décor
I’ve studied the design practices from IDEO, Michael Thonet, James Dyson, Mark Sanders, Sir Christopher Wren, Joseph Paxton, Frank Lloyd Wright, Tom Dixon, Giovanni Alessi and Ingvar Kamprad to give me a broad understanding of design straddling five centuries. Furthermore, my grounding in art and architectural history introduced me to a bank of images, creative styles, and artistic mediums to draw inspiration and utilise.
What I can bring to your project extends beyond enthusiasm, experience, qualifications, and proven dedication to creative output. The chance to work on ideas, designs and experiences excites me more than I can articulate here. As such, I welcome the opportunity to speak with you about how I can make a difference to your project.
