I have been in supply chain for a major truck body manufacturer for over 10 years. Items I have purchased have been commodities such as lights, inverters, and aftermarket parts. Suppliers I have worked with have been the biggest names in the automotive industry. Safe Fleet, Whelen, Ecco, Superior Signals, RealTruck, A.R.E., C-Tech, Buyers, ATC, Decked, CargoGlide, Bedslide, Curt Group, Lippert, Luverne, RanchHand, B&W, Samlex, Austin Hardware, Fastenal, Grainger, and many more. I have purchased these items for single custom builds and commercial fleet builds (vans, trucks, etc.). This has also given me experience in EVs, as well as other cutting edge technologies. I have experience in the subcontract work as well. This experience is in Peak Shaving, sourcing for capacity, and outsourcing noncore production items. It has given me knowledge in many different fields such as welding, robot welding, assembly, wet coat and powder coat painting, assembly, CNC manufacturing, press brakes, and bending. I am familiar with machines from Trumpf, Salvagnini, Fronius, Bystronic, and Amada. Finally I have been the lead in many projects. From "just do it" projects to ones awarding several million dollars worth of business to ones providing several hundreds of thousands of cost savings. Projects I have completed include setting up Vendor Managed Inventory programs that have grown from several thousand dollars in inventory to over $200,000 in inventory. A finished goods program from the design phase to the implementation with a cost savings over over a half million dollars annually. This included 4 SKUs. Another subcontracting program that involved 2 suppliers leading to over $200k in cost savings with subcontracting more parts and starting a drop shipping program. Current projects include changing an internally designed part to a buy part for a time savings of over 1200 manufacturing hours annually and approximately $200k in cost savings.Inventory Management
