I have 7 years of diversified experience working as a Consultant and bookkeeper in Assurance and Business Advisory Service Line and served various industries during my professional career in various roles and job descriptions. I was involved in the review of internal control framework and map it with ADAA prescribed internal control framework (COSO) during his role in Internal Audit in a UAE based global Dynamic-Sourcing-Entity engaged in sourcing of Home Textiles with a global footprint across Europe, America and the MENA region. As a part of review, he reviewed the internal control framework, identified gaps in internal controls system with ADAA prescribed framework and developed implementation plan to address those gaps. He was also responsible for Business-Process-Reengineering of supply chain and contributed towards bringing efficiency and effectiveness in the procurement and ordering processes and reducing lead time. He efficiently uses PwC’s tools for his work. I was involved in the BPR most recognized and distinguished hospitality brand with presence across 7 cities. During the course of assignment, I was also involved in the Demerger of Food Division and the remaining divisions into two separate entities. Work on Demerger included Business Valuation (using PwC e-Valuation), feasibility of demerger, cost –benefit analysis, valuation of assets (including intangible assets e.g. Brands, customer lists etc.), post-demerger synergies, tax implications and benefits from de-merger and survival plans including cash flow projections, budgets and development of Internal Controls and Business Processes I worked Pepsi Cola (Snacks Division) for a period of 3 months. I was involved in overseeing the Manufacturing and Inventory Management. My JD also included preparing budgets for the weekly production targets including regular updating of BOMs, thorough overview of the Internal controls over movement of raw materials, work-in-process and finished goods throughout the manufacturing process. He was also responsible for reporting any failures in the Key Controls (KC) and advising and developing better processes to ensure compliance with KCs. Waste & Scrap Management and budgeting and Cash flow forecasting for the Plant’s operations was also in the scope of my job description. I was involved as a key engagement member in the Third Party Validation & Assurance over the 3-Dimensional-Disbursement-Process first time used in Pakistan on large scale by a Provincial Government for the relief of the victims of the Floods by a Government backed Disaster Management Authority. My role included testing the operating effectiveness of controls over disbursement process, obtaining feedback from the users and preparing Accept-Reject testing over the process to include in the Final Deliverables to client. I was also involved as a key engagement member in the TPV & Monitoring-of-controls over disbursement of the biggest lending of Micro-finance loans for individual entrepreneurs by Government in the history of the Pakistan. I was involved in various roles in statutory audits of the numerous clients. My roles included the following: -Leading the team and guidance and review of the work of team members. -Developing business & the overall industry understanding. -Developing process understanding of key areas including Revenue and Receivables, Production and Inventory, Property Plant & Equipment, Human Resource, Working Capital, Purchasing & Payables, Cash & Bank Management & Administration and Operations. -Using PwC’s Audit techniques and tools to efficiently perform the Audits including PwC’s Audit Guide, PwC Inform, PwC Connect, Halo and Global Template Manager etc. -Developing control testing plan by obtaining understanding of the process, identifying key risk areas and controls implemented and evaluating the operating effectiveness of the controls. -Analyzing and evaluating the underlying assumptions of cash flow forecasts, projections and budgets to evaluate the Going-Concern assumption of the clients. -Performing Risk Assessment Analytics to identify elevated risk areas and forming audit plan to address the assessed risks during the course of Audit. -Review of Minutes of BOD’s Meetings to understand the development and forward direction of business and preparing and presenting communication plan. -Development and execution of Audit Plan including calculation of materiality, evidence gathering procedures and substantive analytical procedures to efficiently perform the engagement. -Evaluating the accounting policies and estimates.
