I'm a United States Army veteran with a degree in criminal justice and a certificate in paralegal studies from an American Bar Association-approved program. With a bachelor's degree in legal studies from the University of Maryland. While serving six years in the United States Army as a Military Police Soldier, I developed a strong understanding of legal procedures through my work on criminal investigations and law enforcement. My attention to detail and ability to think critically aided me in examining incidents effectively and drafting thorough reports. This experience taught me how to resolve and assist public members during stressful situations. Following the military, I earned my associate's degree in Criminal Justice; shortly after, I earned my paralegal certificate. As a student in the paralegal studies program, I completed a 120-hour internship with the Office of the Public Defender for Baltimore City. In this position, I drafted motions, prepared subpoenas, filed attorney appearances, and interviewed clients. Furthermore, I routinely used Westlaw, Lexis Nexis, and Maryland case search for legal research. After completing my internship, I was offered an intake specialist position at the Eastside District Courthouse of Baltimore City. My responsibilities consisted of verifying eligibility for representation for prospective clients and preparing files for trial in this position. I was then offered a paralegal position at the Law Offices of Christy Saunders & Associates. This position allowed me to expand my skills as a paralegal by drafting pleading and subpoenas and assisting in litigation. Shortly after, I accepted a position with the Law Office of Richard R. Klein, Esq. as a case manager, exclusively handling personal injury cases. My responsibilities included starting claims with the appropriate insurance companies, researching personal injury statutes, tracking the client's medical treatment, and requesting police reports, medical records, and bills. Furthermore, I was tasked in drafted and submitting Demand Packets to the insurance companies for settlement purposes. This position has allowed me to develop my organization and paralegal skills. I am a Paralegal with the Office of the Public Defender, Misdemeanor Litigation Team located in Baltimore, Maryland. I welcome the opportunity to discuss my qualifications further.Legal Assistant

Whether there was a substantive or procedural error in the lower court's decision, the appellate brief must persuasively state the facts and law in your case. It must be written in a way that tells your story clearly, while presenting strong legal arguments. LEGAL RESEARCH What exactly is legal research? It is an in-depth review of the laws, including statutes, regulations, and court opinions, which apply to the facts and circumstances of a given case. Typically, legal research is conducted in order to find support for a particular legal issue or decision. For instance, attorneys may conduct legal research in order to back up their arguments in court motions or briefs. There are a lot more situations in which legal research is necessary. DOCUMENT CONTROL SYSTEM AND DOCUMENT REVIEW Businesses may benefit from internal policies which review standard operating procedures (SOP) in order to regulate paper-based, partially electronic, and fully electronic methods of document archiving. We assist you with the review process. BUSINESS PLANS AND/OR COMMERCIAL LOAN PACKAGES Preparation is key to success. Whether it is a business plan or a commercial loan package. It should contain answers to questions that will be raised. For example, who are you and what is your business? Are you offering services or products or both? Are they unique? Who are your customers and why will they work with you? What actions are you going to take to market your business? BUSINESS FORMATION AND FILINGS Formulating a business name and identification will be the first major decision for your business. The second is what type of business will you operate? Should it be a sole proprietorship, partnership, corporation, limited liability corporation, etc.? What is the risk involved and the tax liability? BUSINESS COACHING AND TRAINING MODULES Regular business coaching offers a mixture of accountability, strategic guidance, and tough love. It encourages daily planning and uses various marketing strategies.Legal Assistant
