As a teacher of writing for many years, I have perfected my skills in a variety of genre and topics and am able to fill several writing niches. Here is an overview of the many services I offer: A. Children’s Rhyming Stories While we are on the subject of poetry, one of my skills which I especially enjoy performing is writing children’s stories in rhyming verse. Most of my stories teach a moral lesson or educate. The characters I create are unique and engaging for young audiences. I currently provide stories for a number of children’s publishing companies. B. Poetry I write special occasion and “gift” poems. Just tell me what you want included in your poem and give me a deadline; I’m on it! You wouldn’t believe some of the things people have hired me to write poems about; I once wrote a beautiful tribute to an ink pen. Yes, an ink pen! Just imagine what I can create for you to mark your special occasion or to honor a loved one! You will find my poetry creative and original. I do not tolerate triteness in my verse. One client used the word “phenomenal” to describe my poetry on command skills. See what you think. C. Ghostwriting Do you need help telling your story or writing your memoirs? I can turn your thoughts into an engaging work of art you will be proud of. D. Christian/Faith Based Articles I am a lifelong Christian Believer and student of the Word. I even minored in Bible at a Christian University. I currently write articles for several Christian websites and publications. I write inspirational pieces as well as exegetical. My background as a mother, public school teacher, and Sunday school teacher has given me the necessary skills to write on a child’s level when commissioned to do so, as well. I have a clear and mature understanding of Scripture and always supply “book, chapter, and verse” support for what I write. I may expound, but the Holy Spirit is the Final Word in any matter. E. English Language Arts Educational Materials I am a certified secondary ELA teacher with 30 years of experience. I have taught all diversified learning levels from special education up through senior year Advanced Placement. I write lesson plans, curriculum, assessments, literary reviews, and preparatory materials for national and state exams such as A.P. Language, A.P. Literature, SAT, ACT, etc. F. General Common Interest Articles Some of my work includes articles on current events, informational materials for non-profit and other organizations, op-ed pieces, etc. I am happy to write articles requiring a little research, but I may have to command a higher rate for such pieces, of course, depending upon the depth and scope of research required. Disclaimer: In the interest of transparency, I will tell you that if you are seeking a technical writer, I am not the droid you are looking for. I never learned to program a VCR. If you are young and don’t know what that is, Google it. We have many talented technical writers here at UpWork, however, so you will have no problem finding someone to “satisfy that niche,” if you have it. You don’t want me to write articles about how to manage stock portfolios or instruction in auto mechanics, either. We would both be disappointed with the results. I will not do your homework for you, so don’t bother to forward to me your teacher/professor’s instructions for your latest assignment. On the other hand, I would be happy to take a look at what you have written and serve as an extra pair of eyes to look it over for grammar/usage/mechanics errors and to make stylistic suggestions for revision. G. Editing See paragraph above. H. Book Reviews I’d love to read your work and write a blurb for the cover! If I can’t say anything nice, I won’t take your money. Deal? I hope you have enjoyed reading my profile overview. More importantly, I hope you have discovered that I am the most suitable candidate to fill your freelancing needs. If not, keep searching through the UpWork files. I have no doubt you will find the right person for your job! You may scroll to my general resume information to see where I have worked in the brick and mortar world, where I went to school, yadda yadda. Reviews and Feedback from some of my other clients are also on this page. I invite you to peruse my portfolio to see a small sampling of my work. I create memorable learning experiences, both e-learning and in-person. I've created workshops on a wide variety of topics, I've interviewed SMEs, and I've facilitated classes of 40+. I also taught middle school for nine years and won a Teacher of the Year award. Here's a story: the year is 1995. The first Toy Story movie introduces mass audiences to widespread computer animation, People Magazine declares Brad Pitt the sexiest man alive, and Coolio's Gangsta's Paradise is the number 1 song in America. I'm in the third grade. I memorize jokes I hear on TV shows like the Simpsons, Friends, and Seinfeld and quote them all the time. My dad asks me, "How can you memorize all these jokes but not your multiplication tables?" I know now that I easily memorized TV quotes because I thought about them a lot and they were interesting to me. The more you think about something, the more likely you are to remember it. I use gamification, role play, scenario-based learning, and humor to create learning that people will actually enjoy and remember. I invite you to take a look at my samples and see for yourself. robertgreenlearning.comLesson Plan Writing

Hello. I am a newly transitioned out of the classroom teacher. I taught in the public school for 18 years. I taught three years of preschool prior to that. I absolutely love teaching! I wanted to be able to continue teaching, but now in a more feasible way for myself and my family. I am the creator of Leafy Learners. I am now an independent online and in- person tutor. I also provide one-one-one online tutoring as well as small group in-person instruction. In addition, I conduct small group in-person activity classes. Another experience of mine has been the use of Canva for many years. On Canva, I have created many projects such as: flyers, logos, social media posts, colorful and catchy presentations, yearbook elements, ClassDojo posts and a variety of other projects. Along those lines, I also headed up our yearbook for 16 out of the 18 years that I taught. I used three different yearbook company programs. I was the main creator and designer of the yearbook each year. I was required to learn the programs and then teach them to others who may have been on the team. The program that I used the last five years allowed for way more creative freedom. For this reason, I was able to utilize Canva quite a bit. I completed a sub-credential in the subject area of English. This allowed me to teach two years of middle school English. I have utilized my English and writing skills in many ways throughout the years. Some of which include: writing of tests, writing for the yearbook, creating flyers will valuable information, creating many worksheets, creating many documents using Microsoft Word and Google Documents as well as creating many Google Slides presentations.Lesson Plan Writing

I have a Master’s degree in education/curriculum and instruction and over 27 years of education experience. As the foundation of TBG Academic Consulting, I am a freelance Curriculum & Instructional Design Specialist, Homeschool Education Specialist & Consultant, ex-home-school director/facilitator, and learning coach. I am the proud mother of 4 young adults I independently homeschooled from “Kindergarten to highly successful college undergrad and Master's degrees.” I have been married for 31 years and am a proud Nana to two beautiful granddaughters. Please take a look at my reviews here if you are concerned about my job success score. I have been a freelancer on this platform since 2015, and the explanations given to me about how the algorithm works still confuses me as to why it works the way it does. In my opinion, the algorithm is detrimental to freelancers. My passion for education is what drives me to design and develop customized curricula and educational support materials for independent organizations and education companies. I specialize in consulting with and helping home-school families and groups create, maintain, and sustain an effective and efficient learning community within their homes, organizations, or groups. I also provide consulting and curriculum/course design/writing services that help eliminate confusion, enhance critical learning abilities, and create sustainable learning environments. I have a well-rounded curriculum portfolio and have even written curricula internationally. In conjunction with my homeschool, I developed high school robotics engineering, software engineering, fashion design, art, dietetics, and psychology endorsement career pathways and facilitated a multitude of courses I designed, developed, or outsourced. I provided my home-schooled and compulsory students access to student volunteer programs and established successfully paid internships for my home-schooled learners by developing the programs and negotiating contracts with local businesses. I have recently developed learning plans for toddlers and young Autistic learners using an Applied Behavior Analysis approach. In addition to TBG Academic Consulting, I co-founded ThirtyThree 6 LLC. ThirtyThree 6 LLC is dedicated to providing Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) education support services through curricula, coaching, and consulting. Our diverse products and services are meticulously designed to align with the CASEL SEL Framework, Common Core State Standards, and TEKS, ensuring a comprehensive approach to SEL education. Collaborating with my business partner, Zadie Walker, I've developed and written SEL modules designed to empower participants to manage expectations and emotions, establish supportive relationships, and make responsible, caring decisions.Lesson Plan Writing

The five great working passions in my life are education, psychology, writing, reading, and learning. I would love to have the opportunity to help you meet your goals while using the skills I've obtained in these areas. I've been studying, teaching, and writing for about 22 years. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Counseling/Psychology and a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education. I am certified to teach Early Childhood through Fourth Grade in Texas and have my ESL (English as a Second Language), TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), and Advanced Academics (GT) certifications. I taught in public elementary schools for 13 years. I have also conducted workshops for my colleagues, volunteers in local non-profit organizations, and been an adjunct instructor at an area community college. Earlier in my teaching career, while I took a year off from teaching to finish working on my Master's degree, I worked at a University as a marketing writer. My strengths in that job included interviewing, composing articles, and my attention to detail. In every job, my desire is to be precise and finish in a timely manner while still exuding creativity. I enjoy remaking the mundane by giving it a new identity as something interesting. Learning is a passion of mine, and I love to investigate new avenues of information. I have always learned efficiently by reading and assimilating content on my own rather than listening to lectures, so I am an excellent candidate for any assignment that requires comprehension, absorption, and dissemination of information, regardless of my familiarity with the topic. Among friends, colleagues, and students, I've always been known as a hard worker, for being articulate, and for always coming up with something witty when things get tough. I'm a voracious reader with an excellent command of grammar, vocabulary, and syntax, but I can also hold (and enjoy) a solid conversation with four-year-olds any day of the week. Your needs will be my priority when I accept an assignment from you.Lesson Plan Writing
