Hello, I have been a Technical Writer and Editor for the past twenty years. I've written for a wide variety of organizations and enjoy many aspects of technical writing, particularly those areas that require strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Documentation I have produced ranges from small in-house user guides and policy/procedure manuals to training materials used to roll out national products. I am a stickler for detail but am otherwise pretty easygoing. I appreciate your time and consideration.Line Editing

As a university student, entering my senior year of studying English and finalizing my doctoral applications, I recognize the joy and privilege it is to collaborate with authors as editor, proofreader, agent, or ghostwriter. Over the past few years, I have honed a competitive attitude that propels me forward, using my academic experiences, career immersion, and joyful gratitude for each opportunity to fuel my professional relationships with authors. In the process of earning my undergraduate degree in English, I have earned recognition from the university for my 4.0 GPA, as well as being honored by the Hispanic Scholars Fund, the NSHSS, and the NMS for my academic progress and test scores that have allowed me to place in the top 1% of students nationally. This commitment to knowledge and excellence enables me to be confident, accurate, and timely in any corrections or adjustments I suggest when reviewing a manuscript, and I am deeply grateful for the privilege I have to bind my love for literature to my passion for building connections with authors. Applying my academic knowledge has been of the utmost importance, as I have developed my resume. I had the joy and honor of serving as the Editor of Humanities for Curieux Academic Journal, a national by-student and for-student research journal, where I was able to simplify organizational processes, correct the magazine’s author communication system, as well as editing dozens of theses and essays monthly and handling acceptances and rejections. I have also spent two years as a Content Manager for CampusESP, a Philly-based startup focused on remedying the gap between four year universities and first-generation/disadvantaged families; my responsibilities have included data supervision, copywriting, project management, and weekly portal updates for over 20 universities. During the pandemic, I had the unique opportunity to volunteer as an independent student intern to communicate with Middle Eastern female students to discuss literature as it relates to the idea of neighborhoods, dismantling the narrowness of suburban Western lifestyles and broadening to considerations of worldly community on a small-scale level. In that time, I gained valuable lessons about communication, collaboration, and openness to ideas, all of which I have found to be invaluable in my relationships with authors. In terms of formal experience, I have functioned as a literary agent intern for Metamorphosis Literary Agency, editing for HoH/deaf authors, creating query spreadsheets, accessing agent and publisher databases, and organizing the publishing process for multiple authors. I am also a proud volunteer with 86Logic, copyediting manuscripts before the magazine goes to print. Lastly, I am the assistant to the university honors director, where I manage the University magazine, ghostwrite articles, and coordinate speeches based off of faculty theses. To conclude, I view each contract with an author as a gift and an act of trust that I treasure dearly. It is a privilege and an honor to be able to collaborate with a creative mind, and I am grateful for the authors that invite me in as an editor, proofreader, agent, or ghostwriter.Line Editing
