I have worked on many independent projects for my own business for many years in PHP/SQL/JS. English is my native language and I use PHP/Yii2 MVC platform to code. My background for the past 10 years is developing and managing interactive, database heavy relational applications. I'm located in the Midwest in EST timezone. The reason I don't have much profile work history on Upwork is because I've been on the hiring side of things for years. Github and PHP Storm IDE are my tools of choice for development and archiving/documenting code modifications. I'm also experienced with API development where the API sits on one server and handles data calls from other applications on other servers/domains. I'm actively developing such services on my own as well. Front & back-end interface development for me has mostly been using off the shelf Bootstrap 4/5 templates that you can use for UI, then I customizing based design and functionality. It's very common to work out some bugs and UI issues when developing interface controls. But to be honest, I'm not big on doing custom front-end design work, meaning I'm not a front end website design work. I can do it, but not the best. Server wise, I can setup & manage VPS or dedicated servers as needed and have years of experience managing servers, data backup strategies to AWS/S3, managing DNS services and related tasks such as SSL certs, DKIM and SPF records. I prefer setting up Webmin/Virtualmin to help with day to day operations and management tasks. I've hosted on Digital Ocean, Upcloud, SolidVPS and more. Security wise, I follow security protocols and procedures to minimize risks related to social and phishing based attacks. Our dev stations do not run MS Windows. Unknowns: I'm very good at researching problems and finding solutions even if it falls outside my main field of expertise. My goal is always to help find solutions to problems. I'm available to work on new projects or help manage an existing one as needed. Thank you!
