As a teacher of writing for many years, I have perfected my skills in a variety of genre and topics and am able to fill several writing niches. Here is an overview of the many services I offer: A. Children’s Rhyming Stories While we are on the subject of poetry, one of my skills which I especially enjoy performing is writing children’s stories in rhyming verse. Most of my stories teach a moral lesson or educate. The characters I create are unique and engaging for young audiences. I currently provide stories for a number of children’s publishing companies. B. Poetry I write special occasion and “gift” poems. Just tell me what you want included in your poem and give me a deadline; I’m on it! You wouldn’t believe some of the things people have hired me to write poems about; I once wrote a beautiful tribute to an ink pen. Yes, an ink pen! Just imagine what I can create for you to mark your special occasion or to honor a loved one! You will find my poetry creative and original. I do not tolerate triteness in my verse. One client used the word “phenomenal” to describe my poetry on command skills. See what you think. C. Ghostwriting Do you need help telling your story or writing your memoirs? I can turn your thoughts into an engaging work of art you will be proud of. D. Christian/Faith Based Articles I am a lifelong Christian Believer and student of the Word. I even minored in Bible at a Christian University. I currently write articles for several Christian websites and publications. I write inspirational pieces as well as exegetical. My background as a mother, public school teacher, and Sunday school teacher has given me the necessary skills to write on a child’s level when commissioned to do so, as well. I have a clear and mature understanding of Scripture and always supply “book, chapter, and verse” support for what I write. I may expound, but the Holy Spirit is the Final Word in any matter. E. English Language Arts Educational Materials I am a certified secondary ELA teacher with 30 years of experience. I have taught all diversified learning levels from special education up through senior year Advanced Placement. I write lesson plans, curriculum, assessments, literary reviews, and preparatory materials for national and state exams such as A.P. Language, A.P. Literature, SAT, ACT, etc. F. General Common Interest Articles Some of my work includes articles on current events, informational materials for non-profit and other organizations, op-ed pieces, etc. I am happy to write articles requiring a little research, but I may have to command a higher rate for such pieces, of course, depending upon the depth and scope of research required. Disclaimer: In the interest of transparency, I will tell you that if you are seeking a technical writer, I am not the droid you are looking for. I never learned to program a VCR. If you are young and don’t know what that is, Google it. We have many talented technical writers here at UpWork, however, so you will have no problem finding someone to “satisfy that niche,” if you have it. You don’t want me to write articles about how to manage stock portfolios or instruction in auto mechanics, either. We would both be disappointed with the results. I will not do your homework for you, so don’t bother to forward to me your teacher/professor’s instructions for your latest assignment. On the other hand, I would be happy to take a look at what you have written and serve as an extra pair of eyes to look it over for grammar/usage/mechanics errors and to make stylistic suggestions for revision. G. Editing See paragraph above. H. Book Reviews I’d love to read your work and write a blurb for the cover! If I can’t say anything nice, I won’t take your money. Deal? I hope you have enjoyed reading my profile overview. More importantly, I hope you have discovered that I am the most suitable candidate to fill your freelancing needs. If not, keep searching through the UpWork files. I have no doubt you will find the right person for your job! You may scroll to my general resume information to see where I have worked in the brick and mortar world, where I went to school, yadda yadda. Reviews and Feedback from some of my other clients are also on this page. I invite you to peruse my portfolio to see a small sampling of my work. I have been a writer, blogger, and novelist for the past five and half years, opining mightily on sites like the Yahoo! ContributorNetwork, Examiner, Helium, DigitalJournal, HubPages, and The News Hub. I have also written for my local newspaper and published a handful of political thrillers. When it comes to producing political-based content, I'm your man! Before I became a writer, I earned Bachelor's degrees in Criminal Justice and Political Science, followed by a Master's degree in Public Administration. Then I took the road less traveled and became a teacher, receiving a post-baccalaureate certification after doing a year of graduate-level Sociology. After working as a substitute teacher for a year, and as a student-teacher for a semester, I received certifications in secondary-level social studies, English, and speech. Today, I am the Social Studies Department Chair at a 6A-sized public high school in Texas and teach both AP Economics and AP Government. I've been a wordsmith since my youth, and was a state-level extemporaneous speaker and debater in high school. In college, I was a professional comic strip artist and had a popular daily feature that ran for four years! Today, I editorialize daily and can bring enough wit and research to win any argument.Literature Review

As a multidisciplinary researcher with a strong dedication to understanding and promoting health equity, I merge analytical rigor, cultural knowledge, and creative problem-solving approaches to drive meaningful social good policies and initiatives. I continue to expand my skillset daily by pursuing a doctoral degree in Applied Demography while focusing on residential mobility, health disparities, and spatial demography. With a dual degree in the social sciences—earning a B.S. in Psychology, a B.A. in Anthropology, and a minor in Statistics—I possess a robust analytical and technical foundation for exploring complex societal issues. My journey into public health and integrated marketing communications began during my position as an AmeriCorps Dashboard Design VISTA at West Virginia University's Department of Sociology and Anthropology. Here, I spearheaded impactful and innovative research projects and collaborated with esteemed colleagues to publish two articles in the Journal of Rural Health, underscoring my commitment to advancing knowledge in health disparities. My work has been featured in the Official Journal of the Office of the US Surgeon General and the US Public Health Service, a presentation from the Office of National Drug Control Policy, and numerous textbooks. I've leveraged my expertise and a keen eye for detail as a reviewer for publications such as the 𝘑𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘰𝘧 𝘙𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘭 𝘏𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘵𝘩 and 𝘗𝘰𝘱𝘶𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘙𝘦𝘴𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘤𝘩 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘗𝘰𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘺 𝘙𝘦𝘷𝘪𝘦𝘸, contributing to literature that addresses emergent social challenges. These experiences have fueled my passion for amplifying social good efforts and advocating for health equity. At Vult Lab, I collaborated closely with prominent nonprofits and social good initiatives, crafting evidence-based strategies and materials to drive impactful communication campaigns in areas such as health equity, workforce development, mental health, and international development. I've produced hundreds of pieces of social media, thought leadership copy, audiograms, graphics, and analytical reports for clients ranging from local politicians to large three-letter agencies like the FDA and CDC, among others. Driven by a relentless pursuit of excellence, I am poised to continue making meaningful contributions at the intersection of research, public health communications, and integrated marketing strategy, to foster positive societal change and improve the well-being of all communities. ✨Let's connect and dive into the data. -Creative Writing -Academic Writing -Summaries -Literature Reviews -Research/Fact-Checking -Academic Posters -Logo DesignLiterature Review

I am a medical doctor (M.D.) with a background encompassing clinical patient care and academic research. During medical school, I spent a full year at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) designing and implementing a translational research project that resulted in the publication of preclinical data supporting a clinical trial for a rare brain tumor. After completing one year of neurosurgery residency training, I decided to follow my passion for medical writing. My undergraduate background is in English Literature and communication has always been a personal strength of mine. I pride myself on my ability to know my audience well and to clarify my message accordingly. Because of my scientific background and familiarity with the biotech pipeline, I am especially skilled with technical writing including white papers and academic manuscripts. I can also help with preparation of book chapters, powerpoint decks for grand rounds presentations, continuing medical education (CME) materials, and abstracts or posters for professional conferences. Additionally, I am adept at writing healthcare documents for patient and physician audiences alike. These include patient education brochures, marketing materials, press releases, as well as blog posts/ articles. Due to my clinical experience, I am also proficient in medical translation and dictation transcription. Lastly, I have prior experience reviewing applications for medical school and residency positions. I would be happy to work with you to edit your personal statement and/ or resume/ cv.Literature Review

I am a theoretical and computational materials physicist with over a decade research experience in electronic and magnetic structure of mono-bilayer graphene, and in nature of metal-insulator transition in various materials such as lanthanum manganite. I am experienced in using density-functional based package WIEN2k for electronic and magnetic structure of various crystals. For these researches, I have extensively used FORTRAN 90 and Wolfram Mathematica programming, and published several highly-cited publications as well as written a well-scored European-wide Marie Curie Fellowship Proposal. In biomedical research, I am experienced applying Python- and MATLAB-based predictive machine learning models to clinical data particularly those extracted from magnetic resonance images to detect implant-induced tissue necrosis. I have also applied deep convolutional neural networks to MRI data to extract magnetic susceptibility map of the brain images to detect bleeding and calcification. In my last position as a physicist at a asteroid-mining startup company, I extensively used scientific Python programming to solve physics-based models of materials refining and extraction leveraging electromagnetics, thermodynamics, statistical mechanics, and acoustics. In particular, I leveraged thermophysical data of materials and their phase diagrams at various pressures and temperatures particularly the software package FactSage to devise methods on how to separate platinum-group metals from asteroid materials. For the feasibility test of the ideas, I have prepared iron-platinum binary-alloy samples with induction and vacuum arc melters and run experiments with an X-ray fluorescence analyzer, liquid nitrogen and dry ice, and high-power fiber lasers. During this time, I have also worked closely with two undergraduate interns one of whom helped me to design and build an electromagnetic separator prototype. As the principal investigator, I also submitted a Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) proposal to the National Science Foundation, which was recently funded. Finally, I have a solid background in university physics and math teaching at top institutions such University of Wisconsin-Madison.Literature Review
