Since 2015, Iris handled thousands of bankruptcy cases. She has created this boutique law firm so that her experience and attention to detail will create a personalized touch to make your life easier during this process. Over the years, she has invested on perfecting streamlined and efficient processes to provide her client the resources to make this experience as easy as possible. She wants to help her clients navigate a successful journey. Iris is empathetic with her clients but assertive with creditors. She gained her many years of experience by representing both debtors and creditors (including fortune 500 companies, such as Bank of America) in bankruptcy cases. This means, she thoroughly understands the arguments of the different parties, which is all better to assist you in trying to get that discharge. She has spoken on a panel as a Bankruptcy Expert on webinars and trained a multitude of people on bankruptcy. Iris wants to help her clients full circle: services that occur before bankruptcy, such as review of credit reporting, and representation for foreclosure, repossessions and garnishments (civil litigation). The bankruptcy filing itself, if it’s the right option for the client. And after bankruptcy, credit repair and growing your financial wealth with your new clean slate. She graduated with honors at the University of Florida and was the President of the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association while obtaining her Juris Doctor at Nova Southeastern University. She is accepted to practice law in California, Maryland and Florida.Litigation

I am highly specialized in that I only practice patent law and nothing else, a specialization which, in making me not getting distracted by spending time in practicing laws of other areas/realms, has allowed me to provide world class quality patent litigation and prosecution services for my clients. My biggest strength has always been to perform due diligence for clients in striving to cover all the bases for clients, which is crucial to make patents, after issued, not just another written document, but a valuable document that infringers will find hard to fight against. My approach to patenting has always been to cover all the bases for clients from the get-go and early so as to reduce potential patent enforcement cost after a patent is issued, a process which is similar to the battlefield scenario, namely, one extra dig on the trenches before a real battle will save 10 times of blood spill during the real battle. More specifically, I provide patent service focused on patent enforcement & litigation (including issuing cease & desist letter, filing and litigating patent cases in federal courts, filing & conducting IPR at PTAB), patent prosecution (including patent filing, drafting, PCT, & so on), and opinion work (infringement, non-infringement, invalidity, & FTO). I also provide local counsel service for patent cases for the Eastern District of Virginia, as I am admitted in the same federal court. Below is a quick list of highlights of patent career: - Served as lead counsel for four (4) Fed. Cir. appeal cases. - Served as lead counsel for two (2) federal district court patent litigation cases. - Served as lead counsel in three (3) IPR proceedings for patents. - Argued before Federal Circuit Court of Appeals and PTAB six (6) times. - Procured dozen of patents, each issued following pretty much the entire life cycle of patenting, including collecting invention disclosure, conducting thorough prior art search (so as to gain comprehensive understanding of the respective state of prior art), developing respective patent-drafting strategies (in view of gained respective state of prior art), drafting the respective patent disclosure and claims (in accord with gained respective state of prior art), and prosecuting the respective patent application to issuance. - Had over 100 issued patents under my belt through prosecution. - Drafted invalidity, non-infringement, and FTO opinions for clients. - Achieved reversals for clients at the PTAB for appeals from the Examiner. - Filed and prosecuted PCT applications, with favourable written opinions on patentability attained for clients. - Drafted various patent related agreements including licensing, joint venture, evaluation and confidentiality, product development and IP, agreements. - Prosecuted patent applications in a range of technologies including: wireless communications (e.g. 3G, 4G/LTE), software (e.g. GUI, imaging, social media, browser plug-in, online games), electronics (e.g. PWM circuits, inverters, amplifiers), medical devices (e.g. endoscopes, syringes, smart medicine containers, smart stethoscope) and other mechanical and electro-mechanical devices (e.g. GFCI, can crusher, artificial turf, smart power management unit).Litigation
