Things that make you think, “DUH...she better do all of that!” But you know what? None of that really matters, because it's expected. Want to know how I write copy that delivers? Copy that gets measurable results? Copy that converts reads into leads (and then converts those leads into repeat customers) empathizes with its audience on a highly-personalized emotional level...AND THEN offers to MEET their emotional needs. You see, people make purchases for two primary reasons: -To make them feel good (i.e., people buy new clothes because they want to feel better about how they look) OR -To solve a problem (i.e., subscribe to a SaaS company to make heating and cooling their home easier and more intuitive) So when customers investigate your business, what they’re really thinking is, “What’s in it for me?” If you use your copy to tell customers all about YOUR business, YOUR features, YOUR products, or YOUR prices, your potential customers are going to walk away with a lot of information. (Did you notice the keywords there? They’re going to WALK AWAY.) Copy like that is kind of like going to a therapist who only talks about herself - you’d leave feeling just as helpless as the minute you walked in...and you’d probably never go back. BUT...if you use your copy to show your customers that you understand them, that you’re there to help...they’re going buy your product or service. And because your product is awesome, they’re going to come back for more. Simple as that. I write copy that gets customers' attention, helps them feel heard, and offers them a solution. My intuition is keen, and I'm highly skilled at empathizing with your target market.
