I'm a yogi and engineer that left the corporate world a few years back to disengage from the city life, to reconnect with my true nature and start a wonderful journey of exploration that continues up to this day. My years of travelling around the world have given me the opportunity to approach life with a much clearer lens, shedding a new light in my beliefs, thoughts and relationships. This allowed me to change and evolve my soft and management skills, as well as getting invaluable tools that no PhD or MBA offers. Living in one country one day and travelling to another one with a diametrically opposite culture the next day takes you out of your comfort zone by having to recalibrate your brain connections and adjust to this new reality, finding yourself sleeping in precarious conditions, eating unknown food and talking to strangers daily challenges your power of adaptability and strengthens your resilience by resorting in your set of skills to survive. Navigating an unfamiliar culture daily is the cognitive equivalent of running a half marathon: the training for the mind and soul is so strenuous that it can literally bring you down or light a flame of power that you never imagined possible. My management skills were also put to a test when having to budget a project, my own life project, and manage my savings for a period of 3 years in food, accommodation, transportation, clothing and leisure. When living in a van, task organisation proved key, requiring a detailed daily plan and good logistics to find where to sleep, where to find water, gas, a shower and the next best organic market to do the groceries. Shifting from working in an office and give engineering presentations to standing in front of yogis and guide them to make a pause and reconnect with their inner self has given me an immense sense of empowerment, grounding and confidence to work in what I truly believe, helping others overcome their traumas and conditionings that hold them back in embracing life fully. I would be thrilled to work again as a project engineer supporting companies/start-ups in different fields, such as sustainability, regeneration, wellness, women’s health, etc. I would use my soft and management skills with a holistic approach on tasks organisation, following-up, content creation, communication, holding spaces for meetings and being a bridge for different stakeholders.
