In 2021, Clint and I launched Back Forty Beef, LLC, offering consumers our home-raised beef through farmers markets, local delivery, shipping, and retail locations. In 2022, we expanded our venture with Back Forty Candles, creating candles made from beef tallow sourced from our cattle and American-grown soy wax. Each candle is hand-poured on our farm, combining sustainability with a touch of South Dakota craftsmanship. In the fall of 2023, we unveiled the Back Forty Beef Adventure Farm and Corn Maze. This family-friendly destination invites visitors to interact with farm animals, enjoy games, explore a 12-acre corn maze with a fresh design each year, and shop for homegrown and locally made products. Our farm shop features beef, pumpkins, gourds, and other local treasures, offering a farm-to-table experience like no other. Previously, I served as Communications Director for a local Electric Cooperative, gaining valuable experience in the energy sector.
