Michael has also worked in healthcare fields assisting individuals with dementia/Alzheimer's disease, intellectual impairments, autism, etc. and also has experience in the technology sector through contracted work and being assigned at a Google datacenter doing computer repairs and network security. Furthermore, Michael has a passion for music and how music can be utilized as a treatment for cognitive ailments. By combining all of these skills and experiences, he is now attempting to build a music studio/neuroscience lab hybrid; Syndicate of Sound & Synapse. At the intersection of neuroscience and music, Michael lends his musical capabilities as well as his expertise in research and design. By utilizing music as a neuromodulator, Michael takes a behavioral & theoretical neuroscientific approach to better understand the root causes of stereotyping behavior in both animal and human populations in confinement, especially in those suffering from neurodegenerative and neurodevelopmental disorders.     I am a counselor that has always enjoyed any kind of writing or customer service work. I have expertise in counseling but I have a lot more to offer in other areas as well. I struggled with infertility which lead to my husband and I adopting four amazing kids through the foster care system. Despite people close to me often worrying I'm "cursed"I'm able to keep a positive attitude and accept unexpected stressors as a challenge. I've struggled with my weight most of my life but have recently discovered a new love of finding stylish plus size clothes. I have done a lot of creative writing and have had some poems published in a small, local book. I've also participated in research development, presentation and publishing while in college. I have experience in grant writing as well. During the last few years I've found myself really enjoying reviewing businesses, mainly on Google. I feel I've been blessed with my ability to easily complete almost any writing assignment given to me in a thorough, timely manner. I have a daughter that has a reading disorder and at times feel guilty that I've had these skills at such a young age that it has most definitely helped me reach any goal I've had.
