    I have been proofreading most of my life and never realized you could actually do it for a living. Through much of my working career as a receptionist in various companies, I have been responsible for transcribing and proofreading hundreds of documents. I have worked for heads of state departments as well as a governor elect. My unpaid proofreading jobs consist of working for my husband to proofread his legal documents, warrants and arrest reports. My latest gig is actually working as a veterinary technician.
