I twice led in annual evaluation of the m2m country program in Malawi. The process included data collection, cleaning, analysis and presentation to country team. The analysis was quantitative and done using MS Excel and SPSS. This was a very important exercise as the results produced helped the program team identify challenges and successes in their programs and helped them make informed decisions when continuing or discontinuing interventions in their operations. I developed an Ms Acess database for Early Infant Diagnosis at the Martin Preuss Centre in Lilongwe as a tool to monitor infants born from HIV positive women. This tool helped the clinic catch early, infants who were exposed to HIV and provide protection so they don’t become infected thereby reducing mother to child transmission. This tool also gave an opportunity to early identify infants who had already been infected at birth and thereby giving them the proper medical support reducing infant mortality associated with HIV/AIDS infections.
