From my very first job as a junior cover designer at HarperCollins to writing more than fifty research-based educational articles for EBSCO each year, I have proven myself as a communications specialist. As an illustration major at Moore College of Art and Design, I fancied a long career as a children’s book illustrator. That plan quickly faded as I took up graphic design in NYC and soon moved on to accept a position as an art director for trade book covers in Massachusetts. While I still handle a certain amount of graphic design, most of my work life is focused on proofreading. I've enjoyed more than ten years of working for such publishers as Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Wylie Agency, Harvard Common Press, Jones & Bartlett, Greenleaf Book Group, and Center for Creative Leadership. Among my many projects, I had the privilege of working on several Best American series including Comics, Food Writing, and Sports Writing. I've also enjoyed working on several Peterson Field Guides, including Birds of the American Northwest and Bird Nests of North America. I work equally on fiction and nonfiction and I've proofread such authors as Robert Stone, Samin Nosrat, Tim Ferriss, Philip K. Dick, Oliver Potzsch, Anya Seton, Salman Rushdie, and literally hundreds of others. I am currently available for freelance or contract work and will consider long-term remote positions.
